Re: Help! Hereditary dark under eye circles

I'm 61 years old and noticed bags forming under my eyes last year. I don't have many wrinkles for a woman my age, but the bags were really getting to me. I started using dermalmd under eye treatment serum and have noticed they have diminished considerably. I should have done before and after pictures to prove my point. One bottle of this eye serum lasts a long time. I use eye serum with the daily and nightly moisturizers and find that my skin does look less wrinkly overall.

Re: Help! Hereditary dark under eye circles

I have had genetic dark circles my entire life. But as motherhood and life take its tolls my dark circles were becoming the main focal point on my face! After reading reviews I decided to try dermalmd under eye serum and WOW CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!! Within 3 days I saw a massive decrease in darkness, puffiness and fine lines. Now 3 weeks later I can honestly say my eyes are have NEVER been so bright and light!! Even on nights my toddler keeps me up!

Just wondering where you bought this?

Re: Help! Hereditary dark under eye circles

Your dark circles don't seem to be that bad, they look more like hollowed under eyes and shadow cause it to look darker. This isn't about me, but my dark circles are very grayish purple and I wish it was as mild as yours. You have nothing to worry about, but I recommend looking slightly upwards when you walk, and look confident and smile. Smiling causes your under eyes to crease and makes the hollowed out part of your under eye look natural and it seem to disappear. Also, whenever you look slightly upwards, light will hit your under eyes more directly and won't cause as much shadow. This will greatly lower the appearance of dark circles. Hope this helped.

It doesnt actually look like what you have are dark circles (darker skin), but you do seem to have undereye hollows that then cast shadows to look like dark circles. You need skin plumpers like peptides, vitamin c or hyaluronic acids. "It's Potent" by benefit has a triple peptide complex. You should try it. Also drink lots of water daily to plump skin and eat lots of fruits and veggies so that your body is able to restore collagen in your skin.

RE: Help! Hereditary dark under eye circles

Hereditary dark circles can not be “cured” or mysteriously vanish with product because genetically, you will ALWAYS produce them. The only way to drastically find some change are things like fillers, laser, etc. something that impacts the concern from the inside, out, since it is an internal issue(DNA). However, most ppl drink realize lack of water, how much sleep they really need, TECHNIQUE around the eyes(pulling tugging, rubbing, etc) also play into severity. Now, for product, Sunday Riley’s Auto Correct is one over heard great things about. I am actually using The Ordinary’s Caffeine Solution. It’s a serum so it’s great under makeup because the skin soaks it up faster than a cream so it does sit on top and cause makeup to slide around

I've been using the ordinary caffeine solution and a few other ordinary products, and this is the first time I've seen results in decreasing the severity. I have the same hollow issue! I'm adding a before and after pic on the progress the caffeine solution made!Bottom is before using The Ordinary productsBottom is before using The Ordinary products

RE: Help! Hereditary dark under eye circles

I have super dark under eyes too. I haven’t found a miracle product to lighten them yet, BUT I have two concealers that help. 1) the MUFE full cover. It’s liquid and I’ve been using it for 10 years. 2) I recently bought the BECCA ultimate coverage concealing crime in Banana because it was on sale. I thought I would use it for blemishes but it’s totally the wrong color for me for that but it’s absolutely amazing under my eyes. Super brightening. My dark circles were completely hidden. Both of these are super thick formulas, not typically what’s recommended for under eyes but the only thing that works for me and lasts all day. With thick formulas though you HAVE to moisturize first. I use an under eye serum with caffeine to help combat the puffiness and the fine lines. I also use a lid primer over the moisturizer and under the concealer
