Foundation Match for Olive/Neutral Skin

I feel like I am never going to find a foundation that doesn't wear orange... I have somewhere in between neutral/olive/yellow undertones. It will feel as if I have found the one and then I check my face in natural light and it's totally different than my neck. I'm not sure if things oxidize oddly on me or if I've never truly found a match.

The *only* foundation I have ever found to truly match my skin is NARS Sheer Glow in Light 4 "Deauville." The problem is this foundation only works for me in the winter when my skin is pale. As soon as I get a tan, I can't seem to find anything that doesn't look obvious. I have skin on the oilier side, that can turn combination in cold months.

I honestly wouldn't care what kind of foundation formula I had to use as long as the color looked like it was my skin but better. Does anyone have skin undertones like mine that can offer some advice? Thank you ❤️

Re: Foundation Match for Olive/Neutral Skin

I am a fairer olive than you so I won't be helpful with matches, but I think this link may help:

Some of the shades discussed include UD Naked Skin in 4, Tom Ford Traceless in Fawn, and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation in 6. Idk if those would be too olive if you lean more neutral though? There is also a subreddit devoted to olive undertoned makeup lovers, you could try asking over there. @CoasterKS

Re: Foundation Match for Olive/Neutral Skin

You should give the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation a try! I have not experienced oxidizing with this foundation and it wears for a very long time. It applies beautifully, and it will look like you have flawless skin; it does not look caked up whatsoever.
