Embarrassing Topic but I need to Ask

I noticed i have dark spots on my butt.i tried scrubs down to making my own scrubs.I don't see a change.So am wondering if there is a product that will give me real results.

@ather   thanks for the tag.  @RACHM29   Hyperpigmentation on your butt, knees, underarms and breasts is quite common and can be caused by genetics, hormones, friction from shaving and tight clothing, and sun exposure or a combination of these factors.  Just because it’s common and completely normal doesn’t mean it’s not distressing though. 
You can reduce the likelihood of developing hyperpigmentation by avoiding friction sweat and by wearing sunscreen.  Yes even down there.  Most of our clothes do not provide complete sun protection. Wear looser clothing and avoid scrubbing the area which can/will encourage more hyperpigmentation and darkening.
powdering your skin to avoid sweat friction is also helpful.   Waxing rather than shaving is also suggested. 
lactic acid is wonderful for removing the outer layer of skin and for evening skintone.  Fruit enzyme peels are also wonderful as they don’t require friction to effectively exfoliate.  
 Niacinamide and arbutin are also great ingredient choices for lightening.     the Peter Thomas Roth Niacinamide discolouration treatment is wonderful for fading discolouration and has been very helpful for a number of us in the community.  

also using whitening facial masks where you’d like lightening (being careful again not to get close to and disturb your vaginal ph balance) can be beneficial giving you a more prolonged lightening treatment. 
for more instant results there are body whitening lotions to create a brightening effect while simultaneously working on the hyperpigmentation.  I like Nella One Day Brightener.  You can find it on yesstyle.  Ishizawa lab has a nipple lightener (I know there’s a product for everything) that may be beneficial on other areas.  Let me find the actual

product name.  The package just says Scandal on it but it’s quite effective.  Edit-  it’s called scandal top pink jelly.

@RACHM29  I use Peter Thomas Roth PRO Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment 1.7 oz/ 50 mL  on my face it’s worked very well for me and I believe @heartsmyface  uses it on her shoulders. Any thoughts on that area?

Maybe try The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating and Brightening Daily Toner 8 oz/ 240 mL  I had some dark spots on my arms and I used this and it helped to lighten them
