Best Setting Powder for Medium to Dark Skin

I'm looking at Laura Mercier & Cover FX wondering what should I invest in. If there's another brand you like, please lmk! Also, if you have suggestions on ways to use it, best tools in applying, process of applying it, ... Any extra, secret tips from you MUAs out there?

The MAC Patrick Star setting powder is the best setting powder in the world!! It beats Laura mercier any day. It's an ultra fine powder that can be used for very pale to very dark skin, and I use it on other people with way different skin tones than me.

@tileaves Out of those two, I would suggest Laura Mercier. An amazing drugstore alternative is the Maybelline FitMe Loose powders. They come in different shades so they will add a little extra coverage. They’ve been compared to LM and some like it better! If your skin is oily, I would recommend using a damp sponge to apply your powder. Press it into your skin as opposed to applying it with a brush. It will give your makeup longevity and help keep your oil at bay.
