Thoughts on Clean Haircare?

Hey friends, I'm hoping to find a clean shampoo and conditioner.  I have fine, shoulder length hair that isn't necessarily too oily or too dry.  Which brands/products are going to be the best in terms of value and hair health benefits?  (I realize this is pretty subject to opinion, but just looking to get some recommendations.)  ๐Ÿ™‚

absolutely love clean hair care!! ive been doing it for the past 4-5 years and highly recommend!!

Re: Thoughts on Clean Haircare?

Hi @EmmaGwin ! I have fine curly hair (a lot of it though) and also in the land of not-so-dry and not-so-oily. I'm a bit more picky about products because of the curly hair component, so my choices might be a bit more pricy than you're looking for. For shampoo I'm loving AG Hair's Balance Shampoo with apple cider vinegar. I don't need to wash my hair very often (every 5-7 days) so when I do, I like a bit more of the clarifying from the ACV; I also live somewhere with hard water, so the ACV helps with that too. For conditioner and styling products, I use Innersense.

My mum might be more similar hair to yours; shoulder length and fine (hers is also straight, which I'm guessing might be closer to yours?). She's been using Andalou Naturals which is a much more affordable brand than mine, and she's been really loving it!

Re: Thoughts on Clean Haircare?

Thank you so much for the product suggestions! I will definitely check those out. I do have straight hair, but also live in an area that has hard water as well! This was super informative! I really appreciate it!

Re: Thoughts on Clean Haircare?

@EmmaGwin  you're welcome! If you're in a hard water area and don't have a water softener for your shower (as is the case for me) an ACV/water mix for a rinse can be a cheap way of getting some of the product and/or mineral build-up out too! I mix 1 part ACV to 10 parts water and rinse my hair with it after shampooing sometimes (especially in winter when the water in my area is harder). It's a cheap way to get some of the excess mineral build-up out of your hair! You might just have to play around with the ratio; if it leaves a "vinegar" smell in your hair, more water in the ratio next time.

Griffin Remedy Daily Shampoo & Conditioner. $9 each! Kept my hair incredibly healthy.
