Hi! I just turned 37 and I really need help with a good regimen for skincare. I just had twins and have a 2.5 year old so I have definitely put myself last on the list of who is being taken care of, and it’s showing!I have normal skin tends to go more dry but it’s typically normal. I have redness and a little discoloration. I am concerned about aging and enhancing my skin. It seems dull and tired (probably from the lack of sleep). I really like the inkey list and the ordinary (what I have used in the past, but haven’t been able to maintain consistency).

please help!!! I want to feel better about myself and I know prioritizing my skincare will help!

@otea Congratulations! I vaguely remember the early years when my twins were born. Probably due to the lack of sleep as you mentioned. Hang in there mama!

For skincare, I use The Inkey List and The Ordinary in my routine too. Just keep it simple. Cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen. The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser 5 oz/ 150 mL is a good one and the Hyaluronic acid can help with your dryness. The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Daily Moisturizer 3.3 oz/ 100 mL is a nice moisturizer. You can top it off with The INKEY List Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 ml. I haven’t used this one personally but if you like the brand, they have one you can try.

As for your concerns, they’re an additional step between cleanser and moisturizer. If discolouration is a concern, both brands have a Niacinamide serum you can apply under your moisturizer. I have a sensitivity to it, so I can’t really comment on it much. For redness, you can try Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid 4 oz/ 120 mL or Tower 28 Beauty SOS Intensive Redness Relief Serum with Hypochlorous Acid 2 oz / 59 mL . I know they’re outside of Inkey and The Ordinary, and a little pricier, but they work well for me.
