Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

The Rare Beauty melting blush doesn't last long and isn't very pigmented.  I wanted it because the packaging is cute, but several friends convinced me that it wasn't worth it.  If I were you, I would buy the mini Rare Beauty liquid blush and one of the Saie Beauty blushes.  You can then figure out the one you want to wear.  The Rare Beauty liquid blush is more pigmented than the Saie Beauty blush but some people like the fact that they can add blush (Saie) instead of taking it off (Rare Beauty until you get the hang of it).

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

Just based off color alone nearly mauve is my recommendation. Mauve is a color that looks  great on everyone, it’s not to bright, and will create that perfect natural look you’re going for. That other shade is very bright and can easily overpower one’s makeup. The other shade you can build with and intensity with highlighter or more blush. Either way they are both beautiful colors, but i think the mauve is more subtle.

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

The melting blushes are sheer and from what i gather do not have the best longevity. Liquid are very pigmented and last well. I got virtue in the last sale and one dot with a blender is all i need

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

Thanks @aviscardi. I want to buy the melting ones but are they worth it? I wear natural makeup, but I don't want to be reapplying constantly. The thing is, I think it would be the easiest to apply when I'm in a hurry etc, I can just use my hands.... but does it really not last long?

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

Has anyone else any experience with one or a few of them? 😊

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

Ooh tough choice @SomeoneHuman

Can you swatch them in store and get a feel for what you think you'd like best??

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

Hi, @CynthieLu. Well it's kind of hard. Someone I know can buy it for me, but I won't be there to try. The only sephora next to me doesent sell rare beauty.... I don't think I'll be able to go to the sephora that sells rate beauty before I leave to go back to my country where sephora doesent exist.... lol I'm not lucky with sephora 😅

Have you tried any of them?

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

@SomeoneHuman I'm sorry but I haven't used the ones your asking about hum...

@danielledanielle do you know anyone with experience in these blushes?

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

@CynthieLu , thanks for the tag

@SomeoneHuman , the liquid pinch blushes are super pigmented.  I've owned Joy and Love, and gave them both away because they didn't work well with my foundation/base + skin type, BUT, I know others that love them and rock them.  Blending with fingers or a sponge seems to work best.

As for the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush  , I don't own, but I remember swatching and not being impressed.  It wasn't pigmented, and it was patchy, but I figured they patchiness was due to it being in display.

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

Thanks @danielledanielle

I don't wear foundation under so I could just wipe off if its too much. But I don't want to look like a clown with happy either lol. Will using just a little little bit make it hard to blend?

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

@Mellmars1185 , you have happy.  It looks so good on you.  How do you find its blending capacity?

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

@danielledanielle I find it blends well but I have learned I need to work quickly. I use a dense blush brush and only use the tiniest dot. I have also learned to put the dot on one cheek and blend and then the same process on the other cheek (instead of putting dots on both cheeks at once and blending after). Another technique I use, if I want to tone down the blush is to go back over it with my foundation brush to melt it in. Overall I am happy with how Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Happy  blends. @SomeoneHuman

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

@Mellmars1185 thanks. I think ill buy happy and bliss. The melting ones seem lively but fade so fast... i guess I could blend liquid ones with some moisturizer or concealer if I want it less pigmented that day.

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

@SomeoneHuman You're welcome! I do have Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush Nearly Rose . It does not have the lasting power I need so I used it as a tinted lip balm.

Re: Rare beauty melting blush vs liquid blush

@SomeoneHuman , the smallest dot is all you need.  I don't think you'll look like a clown, and if anything, use a wet sponge for a dewier look.

Love is very red, so I think the shades you picked are 👍🏼👍🏼
