Spring Cheek Challenge
Style Awakening 💇🏽♀️✨⏰
Welcome to the Spring Cheek Challenge!!! I'm looking for that seasonal refresh. For the first SPRING Cheek challenge, (I know right.. How is this the first...I couldn't get past IYKYK, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."), I want you to look towards personal moments and icons (person, celebrity, objects) for inspiration. Look to the Gawds, dahhhhhlings. And zhuzh it up with an outfit, or hair accessory or anything you think that's relevant. I've declared this the "year of using my pretty things, " and I'm inviting you to join me!
The INSPO behind the INSPO:
This was fueled by caitbird's brilliant inspo board for Belle, pdxxxx's elite breakdown's of icons, the creative choices of Cissy63 during the Winter Wonderland cheek challenges... And again, Zendaya.
BUT, WHEN YOU NEED A PUSH/INSPO, AS ALWAYS.....I GOT YOUUUUUUU
Here are the weekly themes:
Blush Crush (Apr 8-13)
Meet me in Miami (Apr 14-Apr 20)

Candy Coated Coquette, Mocha Mousse Version (May 5-May 11)
Sunday Best (May 12-May 19)
I made a bunch of mood boards; feel free to use them or remix/remake them into your own.

OOhh, pretty look and pretty trio @lmaster !
Thank you so much!! @danielledanielle ❤️
"Blush crush" this week is crushing on new formulas. I picked up 3 different formulas during this sale and two were new to me. The true hit from them was the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Hot Cheeks Velour Blushlighter Cherry Pie'd . It's such a pigmented but blendable formula, I was truly impressed. Don't be intimidated by the color, it blends seamlessly. Fenty is usually not a brand that calls to me much but this is a hit. I used a dense slanted paw brush to apply and blend. One tap is pretty much all you need for a more natural look.
I also tried the Yves Saint Laurent Make Me Blush 24H Buildable Powder Blush 6 Rose Haze and Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush Hope . Both have really nice formulas, as well. I bought this shade of the YSL because of the hype I saw on social media. It's a great nude color. I'm leaning to brighter shades right now but I like it. Same with the Rare beauty.
These all work on you so well @makeitup305 . You are looking so dewy and sunkissed to boot - I love it!
@makeitup305 you look beautiful with all of these! I was definitely intimidated by the Fenty red blush, but it's good to know it can blended out for a more natural look.
@caitbird I was super suprised by how much I love it. I recommend it, you just need a light hand but it blends easily.
I like the nude choices on you @makeitup305 ! It's nice to have a midtone in the arsenal, like a little vacay from the bold every now and then
@danielledanielle midtones are usually my go-tos but I've been on an intense red blush kick for the past couple of months lol I have so many now, I need to do a roundup.
@makeitup305 Beautiful blush crush looks! Which blush are you crushing on most?
@Mellmars1185 my favorite so far is the Fenty, since the brand has never appealed much to me. This blush is a hit, though.
I also really like the YSL upon second use. I wasn't as wowed the first time after all the hype I saw on this shade, but it's very flattering on me once I build it up a bit more. The YSL formula I already knew I liked since I have 44 Nude Lavaliere, which is a satin versus a matte. It's more powdery, but it still blends well. I need to use the Rare Beauty more to determine where it stands.
I love how seemlessly you blended all these looks. These are stunning! @makeitup305 Ooouh you are selling me on this new blush from Fenty. I really did assume it was to bold for me, but now I'm thinking maybe. 🍒😍
@CynthieLu it really isn't too intense. Unlike the Patrick Ta, which I've struggled with in the red shade, this one picks up the perfect amount on the brush if you just tap it, and it blends out easily. It's a new favorite!
That is wonderful to hear @makeitup305 🎀 I can see why the Fenty Blushes are getting positive feedback. Being easy to wear and use is a huge plus.
LOL, @CynthieLu ! After wearing Vibrant Coral and Danessa Myrick blushes, you're worried about the Fenty blush being "too bold"? 🤣 The Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Hot Cheeks Velour Blushlighter Cherry Pie'd would look great on you! 😍
@Titian06 🤣, touche
@CynthieLu..You can also use color theory to help "mute" something bold, so green corrector Dr. Jart+ Mini Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 15 mL/ .50 fl oz or blow out a blush with a nude highlighter to soften any redness.
Ahhh I have used and really enjoyed the cicapair line @danielledanielle it really does cover redness.
Speaking of color theory I actually recently just got my first color collection palette, but I've only used it once 😅😅
Knowing some of your arsenal, you are going to have a lot of fun with that @CynthieLu
Lol okay I see your point. @Titian06 I do wear them very lightly and tapped out and blended a lot 😉 but I think I feel red just seems so intimidating you know? Or outside my comfort zone for sure.
