Picking a blush

I’m in the market for a pretty cool-toned pink blush. Something super fun, summery, and fem. I’ve narrowed it down to 3 (but I’m open too other suggestions) MERIT Flush Balm Cream Blush Stockholm a much loved baby pink, I’m familiar with the Merrit blush formula and like it. 

 

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Lucky I really enjoy the formula of the Soft pinch blushes but I do have 3 shades already so I can either lean into this love and get a 4th or venture out and try something I haven’t before.

 A blush formula I haven’t tried out is the Fenty cream blush, I’m really interested in Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush 04 Crush On Cupid 💘 It looks like a fabulous pink!

I'm biased @bakeamuffin .  I'd go with the Fenty 😂. But, I actually like the formula, because it's finger and brush friendly.  I'm all about gradual build up for a blush.

@danielledanielle I hear you; I love my Rare blushes but man they are PIGMENTED I almost always use my hand to blend it out before applying to my cheeks which is just more clean up. It’s nice when you can build up and start off with a flush of colour to go from. Fenty has such great products, I might just have to get the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush 04 Crush On Cupid or maybe the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Double Cheek'd Up: Freestyle Cream Blush Duo 😍

Hee hee @bakeamuffin , yeah my RB blushes were gifted to my BF and her sis because I couldn't get them to work for me.  (I tried!)  And when she got them, she was like "it's nice, but it's a lot of color."

@danielledanielle “A lot of color” is right, sometimes I’m scared that I’ll end up with clown cheeks but they always blend out and work, maybe because my sunscreen is so darn slick 🤣

@bakeamuffin I found that the MERIT Flush Balm Cream Blush formula just didn't last long on my skin (and if you read the reviews you'll see that a lot of people have had the same experience) although it was pretty for the short time that it lasted.

I just saw that this lively pink is coming soon, I’m not usually a Tarte girlie but that is a cute pink! Will have to test the formula. tarte maracuja juicy cream blush Rose tarte maracuja juicy cream blush tarte maracuja juicy cream blush Big Ego™

@bakeamuffin If you're familiar with the Merit formula and like it, I would go with that (I've heard wonderful things!) ... but the Rare Beauty one is also so pretty!! 

Are you looking for cream/liquid blushes only? Glossier Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush Puff is a pretty pink and I really like their formula. It's lightweight and long-lasting.

If you're open to powder, I would suggest MAKEUP BY MARIO Soft Pop Powder Blush Poppy Pink. That is such a summer color!

@AznAngelLiz @I have been reaching for my cream formulas over powder but I won’t shy away from a pretty powder with the right formula, either. 

I lovveee my Dior BACKSTAGE Glow Face Palette for example, the pink in that is lovely! 

I’ll have o check out the MAKEUP BY MARIO Soft Pop Powder Blush Poppy Pink since it’s looking like a pretty pink! 

I was actually curious about about the Glossier Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush especially in Puff and Haze, thank you!!

If you’re open to other brands, I highly recommend ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Cheek Clapper 3D Blush Trio Palette Attention Seeker or PATRICK TA Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo She's a Doll because their formulas are so good and you’re gonna get longevity from the cream and powder duo! 🩷

@bakeamuffin I like the rare beauty more if you’re trying to go with a Barbie inspired look. Merit looks good too and if you’re already familiar with their formula, it’s the safer way to go.

That rare beauty blush in Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Lucky does scream “Hiya Barbie, wanna go for a ride? Jump in!” Hahaha I think Lucky is one of the new just -dropped shades, too! 

I adore the baby pink of the MERIT Flush Balm Cream Blush Stockholm but $39 cad is getting steep for a blush, it goes come with a good amount of product though.
