Cheek Challenge Spring 2026: The Devil Wears Rouge

It's Spring 🌱 🌼 and you know what that means

I'm very excited for the warmer weather, and DWP2!  So, why not put them together for a Cheek Challenge!!!

 

Allergies?

The endless login despair?

Blushed out?

Over my insanity? 

All of the above??

Well, I'm ready my cheek-quettes.

So, I've come up with challenges matched to various lines from The Devil's Wears Prada to get you ready. 

 

Third Week (5/11-17)

Don't make me feed you to one of the models... (Another great Nigel line!)

This is the devil wears rouge, give me red...a sign of passion, or in this case, hunger (can be reddish based, like burgundy, berry, terracotta)

Met Gala Week: Costume Art.  The themr is fashion, well is arrrrrttttt. Be artsy. Blush. Highlight. Go beyyyyoooonnnndd Accessories, anyone?  It's costume week!  (This can be homage to a character or a blush tool/brush)

First Week: (4/27-5/3)

Give me the blush and the look/looks that  resemble or reflect your favorite "Emily".  Are you starting out with makeup as an assistant or strutting out as the features director?  Or are you the incomparable Emily Charlton? So you have shoes to fill like the new assistant? Are you the Amari that would never give up Chanel?

This can also be a play on day to night... How would you take a blush look to a more formal/zhuzh up look.  Please feel free to share your thoughts/blush also in Day To Evening Makeup 💄✨️

I pulled out a red blush for you, the challenge, and the devil! 
this is the Tower 28*poppi collaboration and I think the most true red that I own. The swatch in my washroom is warm light and then I always find the lighting/mirror in my car to be a real reality check. lol I enjoyed the look, but dang I need to be careful with one as it’s pigmented!!

Penultimate Week:

Ground Breaking.
That's right, it's FLORALS!  GIVE ME PINK 🩷 or PURPLE 

You know that thrills me.
Icy highlight and lit from within week.  Build them up at a glacial pace.

Final Week

Are those...?  The Chanel boots.
This week, I want the Chanel! The Dior! The Gucci! The Prada!  If none of these suit your taste, give me a special edition blush.

That's all. 
I get it, you're over this.  I'm over me too, at times.  To culminate this challenge, go back to your favorite week.

I'll combine (or at least attempt) into couplets fit the next two weeks.

Could anyone help a gal out? For years I’ve tried and failed to find a replacement blush for Merit Raspberry Beret. I got it in a Sephora gratis and bought it 3 or 4 times before they discontinued it. 
I’ve been unsuccessful with Rhode, Cheekbone, Westmen and Dior. If anyone remembers the shade and knows a replacement, I would be FOREVER greatful 🫶

next up is About-Face cheek freak in shagged. 
Then Saie in Chily Saie Dew Blush Liquid Cream Blush Chilly And last is the About-Face Fluid Blush in Front Runner. 
I swear I have a few others that are close but my collection has been … a bit unorganized. The About face liquid and the Fenty when blended out are so stinking similar to Rasberry Beret. If I find more I’ll tag you!

Well, I'm not sure what theme this is, but basically, on Saturday before Mother's Day, I went to get some new hair sparkles, so I washed my hair and put on some makeup and was THINKING of this thread and, as it relates to blush, WWDDD???  (what would @danielledanielle do, obviously). I had some time to stroll around Sephora, too.  

So, anyway, basically, I just put on a LOT of blush. For some reason it never shows up in pictures. This is MILK MAKEUP Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip + Cheek Blush Stain Splash and I added some Armani highlighter in store, but I can't find it to tag. 

I also sprayed 27 different setting sprays on myself in the store, which gave me a nice glowy finish that lasted all day!

Then, later than night, I was cleaning up my vanity area, and kept adding more blush and highlighters, lol! Terrible angle and lighting, but anyway...
