Blush changes tones

Hi! I have a cool pink powder blush that I love, but it turns warmer when I apply it. I use the Make Up For Ever matte velvet powder foundation in a neutral undertone as my foundation. There seems to be no difference in this blush changing tone whether or not I use a primer (Hourglass Veil primer) before the powder foundation, and I have even tried using a small amount of that same primer on my cheeks on top of the powder foundation and before applying the blush but it did not help.

I also use this same blush as a light wash of eyeshadow on top of the Urban Decay "eden" primer and it stays true in tone and color on my eyes when I use that primer.

Any advice on what I can use on my cheeks to keep this blush tone from going a bit warmer on my cheeks? Thank you!

Re: Blush changes tones

@alipo check to see if your blush has the ingredient Red 27, which adapts to the skin's ph when it hits moisture (that's what's in all those "skin adapting" lipsticks and blushes). If that's the case, maybe set your skin with powder before applying and see if that helps.

Re: Blush changes tones

No, Red #27 is not listed in the ingredients, but thank you for that tip!
