Literally the coolest lipstick I've ever tried!

I really love the idea of being able to add this on top of other lipstick colors to add some glittery shine! The lipstick tube/casing that it comes in is not only gorgeous, it also has a magnet to keep the cap secured, something I cant believe I've never seen before! The glittery shine is buildable, so you can decide what level of *glitz* you want to apply each day without immediately overdoing it on the first swipe (like others I've tried similar to this version). The actual glitter pieces are unnoticeable in texture and comfortable enough to wear throughout the day. I immediately noticed that it felt very hydrating especially compared to the lipstick I had on underneath. I applied the Spike Buttery Matte Lipstick evrey day for a week to see how it lasted (about 6-10 hours per day) and I was happily surprised by its lasting-power. The glitter was noticeable for a minimum of 5 hours each day that I wore it, which is a huge improvement compared to the much cheaper brands. It actually helped the lipstick color underneath resist fading and creasing, without becoming patchy. This is the first time I've tried such an expensive brand of lipstick, and I was absolutely blown away by the noticeable difference in quality. I can't wait to discover the other products that the Valentino Brand has and will come out with in the future! I included a swatch (1-2 passes applied) as an example if anyone's curious!

My last (hopefully) Sephora purchase of the year arrived, and I used that 20% promo on Valentino Mini Rosso Valentino Lipstick 213R Sensuous Red 

 

My first impressions are that it's nicely pigmented, is lightly hydrating, goes on so smooth and buttery, yet seems like it'll last a while. After blotting twice, the color still seems vibrant.

The mini is about the same size as a Tom Ford Boys & Girls lipstick. Here's a size comparison with a full-size Pat McGrath lipstick, the Valentino, and Tom Ford.
