Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.

I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.

A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).

MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.

EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.

FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).

@meganlisa I've had an emotional struggle with buying them but I think I'm just going to cave. It was a matter of time. Worst case, I'll put them in a TSB in the future.

@makeitup305 Ribbons is limited and the Muse people told me that there are limited quantities coming into the US.  Sephora is already sold out of Minx and Cashmere.  Do we know for sure if they were limited or not?

If you wear colors, it's beautiful....and trading high quality, beautiful, limited products is never difficult!

you should be ok, @MaryK82 - I've ordered from Muse numerous times and never been charged duties.

In each case they've marked my items as gifts on the customs form (at their own discretion, not mine)

@Anewxa Well you get 10$ off with the Trendmood coupon so kinda covers shipping. Also since we have no clue when Sephora will get these and they can't tell us anything you might be waiting a long time... that's if you catch them in stock. I'm guessing they'll appear on the site after the sale ends and go OOS... Like the new Tarte clay pot liners that arrived yesterday morning and are now completely gone from the site. For me it almost comes to the same thing... a bit lower with Muse.

Oh I didnt know the tarte liners disappeared how weird, well good then I ordered all 4 direct then sheesh.

yeah when I saw them online yesterday morning... only a few left for the rose gold and the mint. Now those 2 are gone from Sephora.ca and so is the cobalt blue... but the US has full stock!  I am tired of getting jerked around and bought the rest of the Viseart I wanted from Muse.
