Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.

I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.

A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).

MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.

EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.

FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).

From what I recall, no they didn't but I was only looking to get the neutral mattes.

Thanks @Elles117 🙂 Just debating about purchasing something today or wait for the sale... Most items I wait but I'm afraid the Viseart stock isn't as high as other companies and takes longer to re-stock...

I think you'd be ok to wait but I'd buy it on the first day of the sale to be safe especially if it is one of the new releases. Which one(s) are you thinking of getting? I'm thinking of picking up another eyeshadow palette but not sure which one yet

I want the Bijou Royal. The new one 🙂 and possibly a blush palette. Which one are you debating over?

@veronika23 I have a couple of the blush palettes and I wouldn't recommend them.

if I hadn't purchased them from Muse, they would've been returned by now.

colors are really pretty but texture is very dusty and applies unevenly, no matter what brushes I try.

I asked Viseart about it several times on IG and they said they'd get back to me but never did.

@Mochapj thx. 🙂 I remember you telling me that and why I am somewhat on the fence about it.... I just have the rose/coral stuck in my mind after watching a video about it being used as eye shadow...

That's too bad they aren't replying.  I know a while back I was able to communicate with them super well and now nothing.

@veronika23 It was weird. Every time I brought it up she would respond back to ask how I was using them and each time once I would reply she'd say I'll get back to you but never did

in one of my comments I mentioned to her it swatched and applied really powdery and the reply I got (with the ill get back to you) was that they weren't meant to be swatched and I was just like 😳???

Imo you're better off trying Mac or inglot for those shades.

@Mochapj that's odd!  I had great convos with them on FB a while back then I messaged them about the new stuff and it said something like they don't reply to messages anymore... or my message didn't make it through because the function was off... I can't recall and then weeks later I get a heart reply... like wth???

I'm really getting tired of not being able to get a reply from different companies. You sell stuff, you want people to buy your stuff... just answer them already! I find most companies don't provide good customer service. Beyond frustrating.

I know what you mean - when I was in Paris I messaged them twice to confirm hours and address and they never responded

@veronika23, I have Bijoux and it is a really lovely palette. The colors are all so very jewel-toned and very wearable.

I think Elles is right. Wait until the sale, but make sure you order it first thing. I think that one in particular will sell out quickly.

Bijou Royal or maybe dark mattes 🙂

@Elles117 I have both of those palettes and either is a good choice. You can get a lot of mileage from the dark mattes. It's great for adding depth to eye looks. The Bijoux is just a gorgeous collection, though. It would be lovely for the fall. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

The Bijoux palette and the blush palettes are now at Beautylish. According to the info I was given Sephora should have received Bijoux yesterday on .com but nothing yet.

Did anyone else get this? 20% off on select Viseart palettes (it looked like all of them except the new Bijoux) at Frends Beauty. Still going on today (the 11th)!
