Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.

I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.

A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).

MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.

EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.

FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).

I'm not sure how often these sales happen, but I bought a Viseart palette this winter from Frends. It was on a flash sale for even less than the 20% Sephora discount would be.

Thanks! I'm in Canada though so I don't know if it would be worth it with our crappy exchange and then shipping/duties etc. 😞 I'll have to look out for sales on that site though...

I ordered two palettes from Muse Beauty Pro when they had a good deal on - even with the crappy exchange + shipping, it was still cheaper than Sephora! So it's worth keeping an eye out for good sales.

I've been curious about Viseart for some time now, but have yet to bite. Those new minis look nice, I really like the right side (the grey shimmer, brown shimmer, and pinky nude matte) of that first one in the lineup. But...they are all colors that are probably really well represented in my collection :x

I bought the Editorial Brights instead of the KVD MVLRemix palette during the holiday sales. I've been waiting for spring to experiment with these some more.

I love that they are applying with a brush...it gives a better idea of real application.

@jfmuni actually on muse beauty they state that 5 shades are new and each palette has one shade from the existing line.

Hmmm, what are those two palettes at the upper right? The ones that are done in color families? I don't recognize those.

Middle colorful one is a new one coming out!!! I can't wait for this, the other far right I think is bridal satin. 🙂

Ah, that one on the far right is Bridal Satin. The photo you have at the very top looks like it, but the colors look very different in the shot that's second to last. But that one in the top middle... cool!

Joz, my guess is that they're new...Viseart did have another brighter palette a while back but I don't recall it looking like that.

So now I'm wondering if I should go to the LA Makeup Show.  Isn't that awful?  Someone tell me no....

But those palettes...

I can add swatches of older palettes if people want to see them (just let me know).  I'm sure plenty of BTers can as well...just want to support the new thread!

Definitely go!  Even Kimberly Clarke would agree on needing Viseart!
