Cross posting but here’s my lush haul! Good news is they restock the bogo once again, so if this haul gives you the feels, you know what to do

So I decided to follow @MSena's example and I documented my experience with this bath bomb. This one is called Secret Arts and it's a jelly bath bomb. 

The initial drop wasn't that exciting. It didn't break apart that fast and left a trail of light grey. 

Sorry the initial drop did not want to upload. I'll try to add it later. Also please forgive the bad gif quality. I had to compress the files and it made the quality less good.

The way it bubbles was kind of cool though. There was also some pink in the centre which was cool, but it went away fast since the black was intense. The bath bomb didn't completely dissolve itself so I had to break the remains myself. 

As cool as having sparkly pitch black water is, the jelly was less fun. It kind of formed globs and stuck to my skin. Here's some of it. You can see the sparkles in it quite well. I was sparkly until the next day. The picture doesn't show it but this was pitch black.

Clean up was less fun. It looked like someone had dumped a container of ink in my tub. It was all gray and had spots of black jelly remaining. It washes away easily, but it's still messy. Overall, this isn't a very practical bath bomb. It looks really cool, but I don't think I would try it again.

Thanks, @Tamara76! I feel like documenting them is going to help me get through my stash and take more relaxing baths. It's also an excuse to then get more bath bombs 😉

I used one jelly bomb in 2017 (the coconut one) and it was also very disappointing @SpaceLlama 😞 I just got clumps of jelly, it wasn't like it melted into a jelly-like foam. Cleanup was messy as well, though the bath bomb I used was green so it wasn't too too bad! I think these are a miss for me.

Ah that sucks to hear, @k617! I hope that if they keep releasing them, they improve the formula so that the jelly doesn't just clump and stick everywhere

Agreed, @SpaceLlama! It's a fun concept, just poor execution.

I wonder if whatever they're using (carrageenan) just doesn't do well with hot water...you know, kind of like, cornstarch dissolves well in cold water, but if you try to add it to hot water it just clumps up?

And love how different the speed is for different bombs; this one went nice and slow. Almost looked like it's simmering

I think it might've been because the jelly was thicker and less soluble @MSena. The remaining chunk that I had to break apart was covered in jelly on the outside so it didn't dissolve anymore. Watching the bath bomb slowly disappear is my favorite part though so I don't mind it being slow 😊

I like getting little chunks of glitter/blob I can rub on my body 😄

I have used this one a couple times,it isn't horrible but not my favorite either.I have had to rinse off both times I used it after I was done in the bath and it did leave my tub quite messy but a magic eraser worked for cleaning it up.

Ah that sucks, @Seymore3. I somehow managed to get all the jelly to unstick from me, so I didn't have to rinse off. I had to take a quick shower the next morning to rinse off a hair mask and most of it went away from my tub thankfully. Running my hand over it did the trick 😊 Have you tried any of the other jelly bath bombs?

@SpaceLlamaI tried ectoplasm and really liked it,it didn't seem as messy probably because it was a lighter colour,if it left any residue on my skin it just got toweled off.I want to try the 3 new ones but havn't gotten a chance yet,I might get one when I place my valentines order.

Oh I had ectoplasm in my cart during the sale and it gotten taken out. Shoot. I still have what I think is the Snow Fairy jelly bath bomb to try from the bogo sale. I hope the pink jelly will be less bad to clean up. 😊 If ever you do get some of the new ones, please share, @Seymore3! The Big Sleep looks like it would be great.

That's so funny, @ZombieMetroAnt! The whole time I was watching the bath bomb bubble it reminded me of something out of a horror movie too 😂 It looked like a black bubbling swamp or something similar.

Oh it was, @ZombieMetroAnt. Bathing in black water makes you feel badass. I have a feeling this is what the Addams' baths look like.
