@k617@mrsbaine  if you aren't getting the pigmentation you want try spraying your brush with some fix + first. 🙂

@veronika23 @sydtomato Yeah, I could probably make it work but I'm far too lazy with eye shadow 😄 No matter what, chunky glitters also end up in my contacts too 😞 Even with glitter glue!

I called 5 different MAC's in The Bay today and only the last one I called had anything I wanted still available! Shimmer & Spice and Elle Belle lipsticks were sold out at all stores except that last one so I put those on hold. I decided to go check out whatever the closest store had left anyway and ended up picking up the Starry, Starry Night shadow and I'm Glistening lipstick.

All the other shadows look pretty in the pan but had zero pigmentation and Stylishly Merry, the prettiest in the pan of the bunch IMO, was pure glitter. Needless to say, even though I could call back that last store to put it on hold, I decided not to.

I'm Glistening is a very pretty frosty purple...and quite a surprise when I swatched it. I wasn't even going to pick it up. My photo doesn't do it justice!

I think I managed to snag most of the face collection (I didn't do any of the lipsticks). In store last week, Mac allowed me to pre- order (but really pre pay and pick up later) the items I wanted. They had a special display in this private room. It felt like me in Chinatown NY being brought to the back to buy the "good" fake bags. It was odd. Anyway, I got to swatch it all and pick what I wanted to buy. I got 2 eyeshadows, and the two highlighters. Ulta has the WoG set and I had a 20% coupon, which worked on this, so I just picked that up.

Great news, Mrs. Baine and really nice discount on WoG!! I decided to order from Macy's when they came on line in the wee hours this a.m. I'm so glad I did because when I went in to pick it up today, they had scant lipstick and eyeshadow singles. I was a bit steamed given how frequently I chatted with the counter this week. I bought Shimmer and Spice and a few individual eyeshadows. Separately, I placed a few orders with Nordstrom in Calgary to ship to family members, and have the Peach Face Kit and Mascara Kit being sent to my mom's house for me for under the tree. They took care of wrapping and shipping and I couldn't have been happier. They did sell out of the individual eyeshadows and lipsticks on pre-sale, though.

@mrsbaine bahaha those chinatown rooms with the fake purses so reminds me of my teenage years! My mom always used to take my friends and I there and we got locked in one of those back rooms when the police came by once. 

Hope you enjoy all your new purchases - some of those highlighters looks super extra on the sparkle can't wait to see some swatches from everyone here!

For Canadian shoppers, The Bay just launched the Snow Ball Collection. I'm having trouble loading the lipstick variations. Anyone else experiencing that?

@TraceyEB I'm having the same problem with the lipsticks and eyeshadows - not all of the single eyeshadow shades are showing up. 

If anyone in Canada sees the rest of the shades either back in stock at MAC or finally available on The Bay, can you please tag me? 🙂

Thanks for your note, @lachaton. I managed to place a small order with HBC despite not knowing what lipstick (likely Elle Belle, which I'm not fuss for) or if the eyeshadow is correct. They're filling it through store inventory, so I'm not getting my hopes up. Hope you fared better!

I just ran to the mall on my lunch hour and many itmes are already sold out. I did manage to get Shimmer and Spice lipstick and Stylish merry eye shadow but it took 3 stores to get them.

You are a trooper!! The Shimmer and Shine is gorgeous! I ordered my main gifts from Nordstrom Calgary and Macy's in the US. I have a small pending order with HBC, which gave me the dreaded "order fulfilled in store", so I'm not sure I'm getting anything from that order.

I just noticed that the MAC Snow Ball lipstick on The Bay's website changed. Yesterday the image looked like Elle Belle, then it went OOS, now it's available again with a different image (this one looks like Rouge en Snow to me). 

I thought that maybe they just changed the photo and it's still the same lipstick, but I ended up ordering it just in case. I ordered yesterday as well. The lipsticks have different SKU numbers, so this one may be a different shade after all.

Thanks for the update. I thought HBC would have fixed that by now. My order is still processing. (womp, womp, wooommpp).

I had a nice surprise yesterday when the rep at the MAC counter at Nordstrom Calgary told me that my Peach Face Bag will be shipped now as they were on the counter and selling them, so they decided to release them. She also held by a Shimmer & Spice lipstick in case I still wanted one. I can't speak more highly of the ease at which I completed orders to send to family (and an order for me) between the 2 MAC releases.

@TraceyEB And now all of my MAC Snow Ball items have been cancelled (both lipsticks and an eyeshadow). Sigh.

@lachaton  Misery loves company. HBC just cancelled both eyeshadows. Not holding out hope for the lipstick.
