gah! I love the Olympia packaging but red lippies are wasted on me. i really kinda want the tinashe palette.... a few colors were rated C by temptalia but its not much more than 5 shadows so..... tempting

Thank you! I picked up allllll the lipstick because 344466 red lipsticks was not enough for me. This is such a beautiful collection -- I almost feel like I should pick up back ups... 1 to use, 1 to stare at...

agreed! I will take every matte red lipstick MAC has ever made please!

I got all 3 lipsticks and the white nail polish. Even though it's probably not the best formula. Love the packaging and lacking a white.

Actually I collect MAC so I have some stuff I don't use... it's BNIB and got a lipstick just for my collection... so guess I'm ridiculous lol 😄

Packaging is real pretty in this one!  I like the nail polish packaging too but didn't get one... should I lol.  I know I have to keep money for when the Chris Chang collection comes out!

Depends what you're looking for! Did you want some neutrals or something with color? I grabbed a lot of the neutral brown shades and then most of the purples with a few of the darker green/gold shades for days I want to experiment with more looks and such!

^ I want to feel ashamed but I think they were a good deal if you do the custom palette! I also had 18 shadows to begin with so I just combined them to two of the large 30 custom palettes instead

In response to your post above, I am typically drawn to neutrals & have a pretty significant collection. (Naturally swiss chocolate, embark, brown script, and cork are ones that are pretty popular/caught my eye but I'm certain I have dupes).

I wouldn't mind some color but I also don't want to get something I won't wear.

You mentioned a better deal doing the custom palette is there a discount for purchasing a certain # of shadows at once?

I have one large palette for neutrals (they have some really nice ones)! I tried to pick ones that have warm undertones and cool undertones so they can be transition colors or I can mix and match with the louder colors.

And sorry! I meant better deal with the $6 pan refills if you're doing 30 eyeshadows but if you're only going to do a small amount at a time then I would recommend buying them separately and just getting a Z palette or buying their cases

I went to my nearest MAC store to pick up a few of these single eyeshadow pans...and the attitude I got from the sales associate! I suppose she didn't know about the price mark down, but basically she was really miffed that I had the audacity to assume they were $8 CAD instead of $12. Anyhow, lo and behold, when the items were scanned she saw I was right and then she went back to being normal. Seriously, some people...

I had the weirdest experience at a MAC counter once. One SA was super nice, super friendly, pretty much went out of her way to make sure I was happy. It was shortly after the select program started, so I was asking them about the membership, and while the super nice one was filling a foundation sample for me, another told me purchases at a MAC counter wouldn't count for my account in the select program, so I made the passing comment of, "Oh, that's weird. I'm better off just ordering online since I get free shipping with the program too." I didn't mean it badly, I was just making a comment. The super nice one agreed, and she told me I wasn't obligated to make any purchase at the counter. The other literally rolled her eyes at me and walked away.

Ugh, I don't understand where this attitude the SA's have comes from...like we're not there to ask for free handouts, we're trying to make a purchase!
