Thanks @Sunnysmom ! Influenster sent me this one. I thought it was pretty funny since I’ve been on a Dior kick lately. It does feel nice, I just wish it wasn’t so heavily scented.

Thanks for the swatch, @faeriegirl !  The color is very pretty on you.  It even looks like it might have a bit of sheen to it, like a demi-matte.

(I agree with this @Titian06 ! More of a hybrid demi-matte with the velvet feel! Never a true more drying matte thankfully! )

A few of the new velvet lips! Similar design pattern as Lisa E tho not the same formula obv. They do feel heavier and better pigment than the previous formula which I didn’t prefer vs the matte. This is somewhat of a hybrid matte velvet which I think will be terrific. Definite strong floral scent but it’s lovely imo. Wonderful pigment!  I need to try the satin formula next as in the past I had some feathering issues with the reds  💄❤️ What generous gifts as always! Hopefully in other retailers soon. These are all cool tones.

 @itsfi have you tried yours yet? Did you get satin or velvet or both? Curious your thoughts or if you felt the LE formula to compare? ( I had to open mine because number 1) excited and I have very few boxes coming this week 🥹😭  but also 2) had to ensure no broken lippies as I’ve had a few in the past sadly! They have replaced etc easily tho it takes a minute lol)

@Sunnysmom  I don’t have one (or two, or omgsomeonestopme) yet, but this reminds me to check my local Ultas for available shades to swatch so I can use some of my hoarded points. Could also use some more Nordy Notes, though I’m trying to be more judicious about reasons to wander into Nordstrom this year so I don’t end up buying all the things. 😅 (Sure, I could just order direct from Dior, but then I’d have to pay out of pocket vs. paying $0 at Nordy or Ulta.) 

I wasn’t impressed by the old Dior matte formula. I only had a couple and decluttered them a few years ago. One was the navy blue shade (Visionary; don’t recall the shade number). When I ditch a blue lipstick, it’s for performance issues 99% of the time. 😂 Dior’s blue was too streaky, which made building up an evenly opaque coat impossible, even with primer underneath. I think the other shade I had was one of the red mattes; I didn’t like having to build up the color, and wasn’t fond of the finish. So I’m glad to hear you say the new formula’s more like a hybrid velvet matte. That gives me hope! I’ll report back when I have my new lipstick(s) to test.

Oh how I relate to all you said @WinglessOne ! Wandering into Nordstrom can be worse than a grocery when I’m hungry! Lol It was so weird that I liked the old matte formula. I never really thought it was matte maybe that’s why I dunno. I never liked the old velvets and got rid of those so these made me hopeful since they have no mattes anymore. I  can see how the blue was problematic tho. Yes you really must not have liked that one!! 🤣  I still don’t think they last as long as I’d like but I can figure that out. I must be messing with my lips too darn much! Ugh. I think Byredo lips really have a wonderful formula in terms of comfort, pigment and long-lasting. Have you gotten into them at all, can’t remember! I know we’re both trying to do less but…🥹😆!!

Thanks for the tag, @Sunnysmom !  Saga is lovely!  I don't have the satin or matte in the old formula.  I'll eventually get one of each to try them out, though I am a bit concerned about the scent setting off a migraine.

Oh I hope not @Titian06 that’s not ok. 😢 As @Winthrop44 and others have said it’s a bit less strong I guess tho I don’t notice much difference. Would be good for you to do a sniff test at a safe distance if you can! 🤗 I can get a quick trigger headache from some fragrances but thankfully not makeup at this point. Maybe that would help me actually?! 🙃  Hmm 🤔 no. That isn’t good! Misery.

@Sunnysmom Thanks for the tag. Beautiful reds!  I have never been able to do the Dior scent but after hearing it wasn't as strong in this reformulation I took a chance and ordered Nude Look 100 Satin. Very happy that I can wear it. To my nose not only is the scent not as strong as previously once the lipstick is applied, but it isn't as long lasting either. I'll probably order a couple velvets next.
