reactivate wavy hair

hey, does anyone have any suggestions on how to reactivate/refresh waves after I've slept on it? i love my natural wavy texture and it looks great on day one. I know i shouldn't brush it, but waves are never the same day two! does anyone know any techniques or products I can use to get that great wave texture back? I see tons of curl refresher products but I'm wondering if they'd be too heavy on my hair. thanks!!
