heat protectant recommendations?

looking for a good heat protectant that doesn’t make hair tangle easily. any recommendations?

Heat protectant sprays come in two forms - aerosol and non-aerosol. Aerosol Sprays cover a larger area of hair and spray dry, leaving no dampness behind. Non-aerosol you have to pump each spray and not as much surface area is covered, also there is a bit of moisture left behind.

@GG84 Is it OK to use a flat iron after spraying dry hair with one of the "wet" products, or are they just for wet hair, like before blowdrying?  If used on dry hair, should a "wet" product be allowed to dry before flat ironing?

You can use on dry hair, you’ll just hear a slight noise when you run your iron over (product burning off). I prefer dry aerosol sprays for this reason.

@tara732 As a spray on dry hair before flat ironing, I get good results from IGK Mini Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray 2.4 oz/ 80 mL .  It leaves my hair soft, shiny, and tangle-free.  The smell is a little off-putting, though,   Definitely try a trial size first.
