Volumizing Fine/Slippery Hair?

I have very fine, straight, smooth/slippery hair that also tends to be on the greasier side.  Somebody with similar hair recommended the Christophe Robin volumizing paste as well as the R+Co cactus shampoo.  Does anybody have experience with these?  They both have earth/clay in the ingredients and supposedly help to create texture.  I'd love a little more texture/volume, but I don't want my hair to feel rough or gritty.  Thanks in advance!

RE: Volumizing Fine/Slippery Hair?

I have the same hair type as you, and the best shampoo that works for my hair is L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo. Although it's advertised as a clarifying shampoo, it works really well for adding volume to my fine, silky hair. Dry shampoo also works wonders for adding volume and texture! Hope this helps!

I'm a hairstylist...with "slippery" or really soft hair, you do need to add a bit of texture/grit to get some volume. A good base is dry shampoo..I love the Moroccanoil dry shampoo because it roughs the hair up just enough to style. Next you can use a texturizing spray..the IGK one is pretty good as the below poster mentioned.

Re: Volumizing Fine/Slippery Hair?

I have fine, wavy, somewhat  slippery hair (the parts that  aren't over processed) and I find that texturizing sprays help with  volume.  Every  time I  go into sephora I  always put a spritz of the IGK Beach Club texture spray. It's on the pricey side so I'm  waiting for a day  that  I have some extra $ to treat myself and get it. Test it out the next time you  go into  sephora and see if it works well with your hair. Also if you are into texturing sprays,  there is an amazing one by Oribe, their "dry texturing spray" . I  don't think they  sell  it at  sephora (they totally should), but there are plenty of salons that  use Oribe products.
