One of my go-to’s lately has been Davines This Is A Dry Wax Finishing Spray 6.76 oz / 200 ml . I know it sounds counterproductive to use a wax for volume but it’s a dry wax so you spray when the hair is damp and blow dry. It really creates nice lift.

I have tried COLOR WOW Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer an alternative to mousse.  I am very pleased with the volume i get with this product.

@Mel231  I have tried it and also the COLOR WOW Raise the Root Thicken and Lift Spray 5 oz/ 150 mL . I get better results from the carb cocktail and I feel like it’s easier to apply.

I have tried a lot of volumizing products, and I have found that a lot of those products end up weighing my hair down.  Here are some things that work for me:

1. I try not to overuse styling products, and use lightweight products geared toward fine hair (even though my hair isn't really fine).

2. I try to stay away from dry shampoos. They seem to weigh my hair down more.  If I feel like my hair could use a little lift, like for 2nd day hair, I will use a little dry texturizing spray. I recently received amika Rising Star Volumizing Finishing Spray 5.3 oz / 165 mL as a sample and it gives some lift without being heavy or sticky.

3. I keep my scalp clean with a clarifying shampoo or scrub at least once a week.

4. I keep my hair healthy by avoiding heat styling and color.

5. A shampoo and conditioner that I like for volume are Bumble and bumble Thickening Volume Shampoo and Bumble and bumble Thickening Volume Conditioner .
