Verb Ghost Oil vs Morocconoil light

I have fine wavy and very frizzy hair. I have been looking for some light weight hydrating products that won't weigh down my hair. Just something to give it that lightweight healthy bounce. I have tried Paul Mitchell skinny serum in the past and it was too heavy for me. I got a sample of Verb Ghost Oil from Sephora and even thought it is thicker than the PM skinny serum, it feels lighter but more moisturizing than the skinny serum. I have only used it as a finishing product for shine and frizz control on my dried hair though.

I am thinking of trying it as a serum before drying my hair and worried it might weigh down my hair. Would someone share their experience please? Also, is it lighter than the Morocconoil light treatment?

Re: Verb Ghost Oil vs Morocconoil light

@cherrypeach If you try the Moroccanoil, the "light" refers more to the color of the oil than the weight of it (because the regular version will change the tint of blond/white hair). There is still a slight tint to the light version too. I would suggest taking a whiff of one of their products before ordering, if you haven't already... their signature fragrance can be a love-it-or-hate-it thing. The Verb ghost oil is completely transparent.

The ingredients in both are reasonably similar, so just depends what you think of the fragrance, and your hair color. If you're platinum blonde or mostly grey I would go with the ghost oil, otherwise you're good either way.

@fieldsofclover 👍I'm impressed!

@GG84 My poor curly mop has been through a lot 😂

@fieldsofclover MO is pure silicone, nothing great about it.

@GG84 Yeah, I really liked their dark dry shampoo when I had long hair, but I never got into the "oil"... I already did the Frizz-Ease phase 20 years ago 🛢

Re: Verb Ghost Oil vs Morocconoil light

@cherrypeach I have tried both. I wasn’t a fan of the moroccon oil. I have blond hair and I found it also turned my hair a brassy colour. I absolutely love the verb ghost oil I have super thin hair and I don’t use a lot at a time and I don’t find it weighs my hair down. I usually use it while my hair is wet. I then rub my towel through my hair to get any access off then I either style or let air dry.

Re: Verb Ghost Oil vs Morocconoil light

I haven't tried Moroccan oil before but the verb ghost oil is absolutely amazing. I find that it works a lot better to fight frizz when I use it while my hair is damp. I honestly don't feel like it weighs my hair down either. Definitely my fav hair product so far! Verb Ghost Weightless Oil to Fight Frizz and Enhance Shine 2 oz/ 60 mL
