Is anyone experiencing an itchy scalp with Olaplex take home products? I've used No 3 for a few years with no issues. I usually leave it on overnight and love the results. But I started using No 4, 5, & 6 since my last salon visit in Feb. I've been experiencing a super itchy scalp the last few months and I think this may be it. No other hair products/routines have changed.
@Spillian I have the treatment, too, and I never use it because it's so hard to use. The instructions are to apply to apply to towel dried hair, which means I have to get my hair wet, towel dry it, and then apply the product. Then I have to let the stuff sit on my head for at least 10 mins. After that, I can shampoo and condition as normal.
IDK who has time for that though. Get your hair wet, so you hop in the shower -- at least 5 mins. Towel dry your hair, another 5 mins. Apply and leave in for at least 10 mins, and the catch is that they say at least so really you probably want to have this stuff on for 30 mins or maybe even overnight. So at least 20 mins later you can shampoo and condition as normal.
I just can't see this working for me with all the hopping in and out of the shower. I tried it once, and I think what I did was wet my hair, squeeze it out, put the product in, and wait 10 mins in the shower. I didn't follow the directions exactly, and the results were unmemorable.
Before I can say this does or doesn't work, I'd like to actually follow the directions, but the directions are too laborious for me.
Edit: after reading all the replies on this thread it seems like all of the posters are shill accounts including OP. They're all only talking about olaplex and only have 1 or 2 posts (about olaplex). @SephoraBIC Can you look into this?
I use No.3-No.7 at home, my hair is platinum blonde and I get Vivids done. My hair has never been healthier!! I was SO skeptical using No.7 Bonding Oil because I've never been a fan, but this stuff is amazing and now I can't live with out it or any of the other Olaplex products. I use a lot of hairspray, so make sure you're using a clarifying shampoo prior to doing the No.3 weekly treatment because it makes a huge difference!
Omg! I love olaplex I use 3,4,5,6 and now 7 too. I find that you only need to use a tiny amount to get the benefits of stronger, shinier, smoother hair. It leaves my curly hair soft with way less frizz. I love it! Its totally worth every penny!
I love the oil. I always use oil on my hair why not get the benefits of making my hair stronger while I make it smoother have a heat protectant and uv protectant. And I only have to use a little bit. If I don’t feel like it’s enough when it’s dry I add a little bit more It’s worth a try.
As much hair as I have, I live by Olaplex. I get the Treatment by my hairstylist once a month and then follow at home with 3,4,5,6,and 7...That Bonding oil is absolutely awesome!
I love it!! I’m a once a week washer and I love that it’s not heavy at all! Day 2-3 my hair isn’t a grease ball. Also the heat and UV protection help maintain my daily abuse.
I really like the Olaplex products. They have allowed me to grow my hair longer than I ever have and it actually looks healthy! I love mixing the bonding oil and the bond smoother. Doesn't weigh my hair down yet keeps it looking smooth all day!
Definitely yes
I love all of the Olaplex products.
My poor hair has been through the ringer and Olaplex has kept it on my head, revived my curls and such shine from the no7!
Amazing, so amazing
I love it! I’ve put my own hair through the paces: relaxer, blonde, color, highlights, sometimes all at the same time. I use Olaplex in all my formulas for myself as well as my clients. I swear Olaplex is the only reason I still have any hair left! My clients love that their hair is healthy, shiny and their color is lasting longer. The oil is SO light, but it packs a big punch! Heat protection, detangling, defrizzing, it’s my go to for daily styling.
I love olaplex. My hair got fried last year, and No 3 completely saved it.
Im obsessed with No 6 and No7, and use No 4 & 5 daily.

I use 3-7 weekly and love it. It really has made a difference on my fine thin hair! All the products repair, protect, & hydrate. I love the Bonding oil also bc it’s so lightweight and doesn’t leave a residue. I wasn’t able to use oils before this one. I also love the fact it is a heat protectant up to 450° And I don’t havie to have other products. I also love the fact that all the products are so concentrated and it last so long. I only use a few drops either in my wet or dry hair bc you can use it either way!

What do you guys think of this treatment. I have third number 3 treatment and number 5 the hair perfector. I’m trying the bonding oil tonight. I wanna know what you guys think, does it work? Is it worth the hype?
I use Olaplex on a daily basis in the salon I have a large following of Latino and Asian clientele! The majority of my clients want to lighten their hair considerably lighter , Many times I use bleach or lightener and color! Olaplex ensures my results are leaving the hair in. Optimum condition! Fantastic results over and over again! And my clients love the results as well and that I use Olaplex No1 thru No 7! I love Olaplex so much it’s changed the game in hair services! #olaplexlove
I LOVE it so much. I started getting added when i get my highlights and color done in the salon about 4 years ago and have picked up every one of their home care products since then as they're released. The difference between my hair 4 years ago pre-olaplex and now is like night and day. I have fine, ultra fragile, easily damaged hair and love to heat style and my hair used to have a lot of breakage and need tons of protein treatments.
Since olaplex i've gradually cut the protein treatments down to almost never. MAYBE once every 6 months. My hair hasnt been this long and thick since i was a kid - previously the last 3-4 inches of my hair was almost always kind of thin and scraggly looking due to breakage. The oil is really great too! Its really lightweight and doesnt weigh my hair down, just makes it ULTRA shiny, soft, and strong feeling.
Oh my gosh me too! The in salon is the best!!! I use the other steps too but super impressed with The 3 the 6 and the 7!!!
@SephoraBIC This looks like a shill account. Created recently and only commented on olaplex.
I religiously use the Olaplex #3 treatment weekly without fail and I can see a big difference in my hair, it seems fuller and healthier for sure.
I bought the #6 Smoothing Leave In which takes away my frizzes and just bought the #7 Oil which I was worried was going to be too heavy for my fine hair, but no, now I mix the #6 & #7 together and apply it, it's not heavy and it doesn't weight it down.
I really am impressed with this line.
