Thin, no volume hair problem. What to do?

Hi guys! I’m a new a member. Hope you can help me. I used to have nice wavy healthy hair. However , about a year and half ago, it’s gone. I have very thin hair, and no volume at all. I’m not losing hair either. I tried plenty of DIY that deal with aragan oil, aloe Vera , essential oils. I tried different shampoos, along with their conditioner. Nexxus Diametress Volume Ion Volume/thickening Redken Joico Repair Herbal Essence Naked Volume Trés Emma Thick & Full Biotera Sheer Volume OGX thick&full & nothing seems to work. My hair isn’t damaged, I haven’t dyed my hair. I take my vitamins & eat my balance nutrition. So I’m thinking of trying Living Proof Full Shampoo/Conditioner. Is that a good choice ? I seen good & bad reviews so I’m worried it’s another fail. Does anybody have any suggestions ? Thank you !

@Ahdahlyne

I would highly recommend chelating your hair before starting any new regime. You would be very surprised what build up can do to your hair. LIVING PROOF - Perfect Hair Day Triple Detox Shampoo Mini start with that, I like the ingredients for really removing build up. Leave it on 5 minutes and repeat. Follow up with a deep conditioner. Then next wash start fresh with a new shampoo and conditioner like you planned.

@Ahdahlynetry checking out the ride the wave thread! it's here:

Hair texture can/will naturally change with time though and I think this is maybe just a case of re-establishing a new normal. Otherwise, finding a hairdresser with similar hair who you trust can do wonders- they are frequently a wealth of information!

My hair used to be so curly and frizzy my only concern was keeping it under control. Now that my hair has gotten less unmanageable.... I want my curls back lol. With some advice from my stylist I've been using gentler curl-enhancing products I never would have touched before and I've been combing and parting my hair in the shower so I touch it as little as possible once it starts getting dry to help boost it's natural curl/wave tendency
