TEXTURIZING SPRAY TO ADD BODY

ok so my hair has very little body that goes down throughout the day. ive tried texturizing powders but they feel to grimy and stiff. i've also tried dry shampoos but they only work for maybe an hour. does anyone have suggestions for a good texturizing spray? thanks!

Re: TEXTURIZING SPRAY TO ADD BODY

I really love the IGK Beach Club and Down + Out sprays! They add volume at the roots but don't weigh my hair down.

Omg the IGK Beach Spray is the best!!!

Re: TEXTURIZING SPRAY TO ADD BODY

I LOVE the Oribe dry texturizing spray and I am not a hair person. I got a sample size through a trade and have since been through two and am working on a TS before I splurge & purchase the FS. I have fine hair so when I first wash my hair its too slippery, I add It after I blow dry and then clip it all up and hit it with the blow drier again to 'set' it. it helps that it also smells amazing lol. it gives me just enough grip without weighing my hair down. I also find if I don't feel like fully blow drying my hair (which lets be honest is a lot lol, especially in the summer) it works well to sort if create natural waves and body and never looks or feels crunchy like a hairspray or mousse, that was my initial concern

Re: TEXTURIZING SPRAY TO ADD BODY

Avoid IGK Beach Spray unless you enjoy greenhouse gasses that promote global warming.  Its hydroflourocarbon 152a (first ingredient?) has a Global Warming score of 124, much much higher than even methane, which has an 89.  With all the "vegan" and "cruelty-free" labelling on this product -- not to mention photos of our only oceans -- you'd think they'd be woke about cruelty to our only planet, and us, its inhabitants.

I want my kids to be able to live without tsunamis and floods and droughts... I think I can find a pump hair spray, eh?

RE: TEXTURIZING SPRAY TO ADD BODY

If I were you I'd totally try the Ouai 'Texturizing Hair Spray'. Not only does it smell AMAZING! But it really gives your hair a nice 'lively look' if you will. For me most hairsprays get crunchy after they settle in. But this hairspray doesn't get like that at all. You'll love it!!!!

@Anonymous, i have a few favorites!

  • all-time superstar for dry hair: living proof full dry volume blast. this stuff gives serious volume all day.
  • second favorite for damp hair: b&b's surf foam spray blow dry. super texturizes and volumizes...but best when planning to blow dry (hence the name...obv).
  • drybar mai tai spritzer. i use this stuff to help piece out my curl/wave, but it also provides some decent hold. i use it on dry hair (after styling), but it can also be used on damp hair if you prefer.
  •  b&b's surf spray (or if your hair is dry, surf infusion). i use this occasionally when i'm air drying. it also pairs well with their thickening hairspray (that you use while your hair is still damp), although sometimes too much of this leaves a weird, almost gummy texture (so be careful!).
