Hey guys! I was just wondering if you have any good hair care tips for swimmers. I swim every day and find it hard to take care of my hair. Thanks!😁

I have thick long hair and a few summers ago as a camp counselor had to get in the pool twice a day for about 3 months.

• ultra swim shampoo for sure I recommend. It chemically breaks down the chlorine that regular shampoos can’t. You can find it at any drugstore & a lot grocery stores. 
  
  
• the pre swim cream sounds likes a great idea. If you can’t get ahold of it, apply conditioner or a leave in conditioner spray to your hair before the pool. You can also just get your hair wet with fresh water before going in 
• hair mask for sure! I agree with others  amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask or Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Hair Mask 8 oz/ 237 mL 
• And def a leave in conditioner for after the shower. I love Ouai and JVN Complete Instant Recovery Heat Protectant Leave-In Serum 3.4 oz/ 100 mL  but you can totally go drug store here if u want

@luvtheswimmers I use amika Reset Clarifying Gel Shampoo and amika Reset Clarifying Gel Conditioner after swimming and Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Hair Mask 8 oz/ 237 mL every week.  My hair now is healthy and fluffy.

Are you swimming in chlorinated water or salt water?

You need a strong barrier to prevent the Chlorine from penetrating your hair. Aqua Guard Pre-Swim Cream is what I would recommend. You apply to damp hair before swimming (just mist it wet). It will dry into the hair and block the chlorine from your hair. Shampoo with a moisturizing formula like amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask 8 oz / 250 mL amika Hydro Rush Intense Moisture Shampoo with Hyaluronic Acid

When I swim I just make sure to rinse out my hair really well and shampoo if possible. I usually use a spray in conditioner because my hair is super dry and it needs the moisture after swimming. ( And I'll Use micro fibre towel, not my beach towel on my hair)

Hair masks are really good to do atleast once or twice a week between regular hair care routine to help nourish hair after swimming there are many different hair mask options 

I personally love Oribe Gold Lust Transformative Hair Mask 5 oz/ 150 mL
