Short Hair Question

I just cut 10 inches off of my hair to where it is short.  What are the best products for short hair?  My hair is thick.  I want shine, flow, and definition.  Do shampoos and conditioners matter?

One thing u could do once a week is put eggs in your hair and let it sit for about an hour and then take a shower. It really works. Shinier healthier and thicker.
