How do people know that their hair has a number and letter assigned to the type? Where do I figure this out?

@RaynebowBryte You can do a Google search on hair curl number and find pictures and articles like this one: 

Curly Hair Types Chart: How to Find Your Curl Pattern | Allure

(do a Google search for the above article to read about it since no outside links are allowed)
