Purple shampoo

Looking for a good purple shampoo what would you recommend.

@sarahdunifin My two favs are Fanola No Yellow shampoo - this stuff is drying! So I usually use Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector Pre-Shampoo Hair Repair Treatment 3.3 oz/ 100 mL the day after and finish it off with a hair mask (something like Verb Hydrating Hair Treatment Mask).

Otherwise i've had GREAT results with Clairol Shimmer Lights as well - they have a set with shampoo and conditioner and I use both. I still tend to use a hair oil afterwards but its not necessary.

amika Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Shampoo 8 oz/ 236 mL and amika Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Conditioner 8.45 oz/ 250 mL are on the more gentle side and can be used a few times a week, I still wouldn't recommend using it too often.

Another one is Fanola No Yellow, you can find it on Amazon.  My hair stylist recommended this one.  This one is a lot stronger so only leave it in for 5 minutes, maybe up to 10 if you need to before washing it out.  Use this only 1-2 times a month at most.

What i dont like about certain purple shampoos is that they dry the hair. 

Some are better than others, but still. 

If you guys have suggestions of purple shampoos that works and arnt very drying, please let us know. Ty

I’ve used a lot of purple shampoos/conditioners and the only one I’ve found that aren’t drying are the Pacifica sunshine highs shampoo and conditioner, they’re at ulta. It’s very pigmented and makes my hair look and feel a lot healthier, and I’m growing out very damaged and dry blonde hair.

Most purple shampoos are drying and should never be used often.  In my experience, the Amika ones are less drying than most but still shouldn't be used too much.  GG84 recommended using a color depositing mask instead, such as the Moroccanoil Color Depositing Mask Bordeaux (in the correct color for your hair).

I wash my hair 2 times a week and use Redken Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner followed by Redken Extreme Anti Snap Treatment.  They have proteins in them which helps to strengthen hair and prevent future breakage.
