Ponytail

So whenever I put my hair in a ponytail I always get the little spiky baby hairs that will not stay down!! Anyone have any suggestions for a hair gel or something that will help me keep a nice ponytail without making it look greasy?

Honestly, what has worked for me is a spritz of a good salt spray (try Bumble and Bumble) and a judiciously placed bobby pin. 

Although, I have had luck with a spritz of the Klorane Mango Oil Spray on my hands and then worked through my hair to smooth those flyaways without bobby pins. Don't know if I would trust this for, as an example, a harried 5 block walk to catch the train in the summer, though.

I feel like hairspray never last for me. I prefer a matte paste. I take a pea size amount and rub my hands together really well then apply. My personal fave is shu uemura shape paste.

spray hair spray on a unused toothbrush and brush ur baby hair back so u don't have to hair spray all of ur hair

You can spray hairspray in your hands and then smooth the flyaways.  And it won't be sticky or "crunchy" as if you spray directly on your hair!! 😊
