Oily hair

Hii beautiful people! I am hoping to get some suggestions if possible 😊 I have really oily hair and when I say oily I mean as soon as I wash it and blow dry within a couple of hours it’s oily! I have tried Ouai detoxing shampoo and DAE shampoo for oily hair. They are both great for the first day but then my hair looks like it hasn’t been washed in months 😩 I only wash my hair once a week because I have been trying to train it (been doing this for 7 years now) so I use dry shampoo in between and a lot of it because of how oily my hair gets roots to mid ends. Anyone else have this problem and please let me know if there’s a shampoo and conditioner that actually works! Stay beautiful

Re: Oily hair

Hey I started hair training a few months ago and my hair makes it through the week and all I did was go straight into it even though the first few weeks were terrible it worked so I think if you just start letting your hair air dry and cut off dry shampoo cold turkey it might get better. Also it really sounds like you have a naturally oily scalp so maybe start washing it 2-3 times a week and your hair will love the new change of pace and maybe stop getting oily so fast. I hope this helped good luck.

Re: Oily hair

Awe thank you so much for the advice. I’m willing to try anything at this point because it’s not just my scalp it’s from my scalp to my ends and I have tried everything! I have heard that I need to cut off the dry shampoo but it’s hard when I just washed my hair and it’s oily within two hours.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use?

Re: Oily hair

Ya I know I cut out dry shampoo and it was pretty hard but I use the Pantene clean shampoo and Monday conditioner they work great but don't use Monday shampoo it sucks and my hair get greasy faster when I use it

Re: Oily hair

I would try the nutrafol root purifier shampoo. it is specifically for your scalp and roots, where the oiliness occurs. I use it every bath and shower. it smells really good and feels great, and gets rid of all oil and dandruff or anything like that

Re: Oily hair

Do you know where I would get that from? Thanks for the suggestion I thought that was for hair loss I could be wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️ I really need something for this oily hair though. Thanks again

Re: Oily hair

yea a lot of nutrafol hair products are for hair thinning, but this one is meant to cleanse your hair without making it thin if that makes sense lol
