Need Suggestions for Frizz, PLEASE !

Hey! I have been struggling to find a product that helps me with the frizz and static that goes on on the top of my head. I have long, straight, thin hair which sometimes is really dry yet, sometimes gets really oily. I would like to know any recommendations for that. I tried It’s A 10 products and only works the first day after using it and/or washing my hair. THANKS!

Hands down Iles Formula Finishing Serum. It’s a life saver when it comes to frizz.

Hi @shei055 - is your hair colored?  I had similar issues for years, during which I was coloring my hair at home using semi-permanent dye.  When I switched to getting my hair colored professionally it fixed about 90% of the frizz, breakage and texture issues I was having.

I've had good luck with Verb sea shampoo and conditioner, as well as living proof perfect hair day products.  I think ditching the home dye was the biggest improvement, however.

Hi! It’s all natural. I want to believe that the cause is all the humidity in my area!

I have combo hair too, and mine gets very frizzy and static too. I use the l'oreal oil when i finish styling my hair. I just put two pumps in my hands, massage it together and than run it through my hair. It makes my hair nice and smooth, it does not weigh it down, and it makes it smell real good too.

I’ve never heard of that one! If I get the chance, I might try it! Thank you 😄

@shei055 I am passionate about frizz control.  If you are looking to control just the top of your hair, many people like to spray hairspray in a toothbrush and then brush it over the problem area.  I used to use pomade by Schwarzkopf.  And I even had success with dryer sheets!  If you are looking to get at the core of frizz, here is what I post on the Frizz Fighters group:

Spoiler
Shampoo: Use a moisturizing shampoo. Many BICers use sulfate-free. I have been using Pureology Hydrate for the past couple of months and have been impressed.  Back when I used sulfate shampoo, I used John Frieda Beyond Smooth with Pure Coconut Oil

Conditioner: I am in love with Biolage Hydrasource Conditioning Balm. Other good ones are DevaCurl One Condition (popular with BICers), Phytojoba and Neutrogena Triple Moisture (the one in the tub - very affordable).

Serums: Silicone serums are very important in fighting frizz, in my opinion. My favorite is Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. I also use it with Phytodefrisant to give my hair more slip when blow drying with a brush. I recently starting using It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product and have been impressed so far; I rec spraying it into your hands.  It's important to just squeeze water out of your hair, then apply the serum - do not towel dry unless it is a microfiber towel.

If you flat iron, I really suggest a flat iron spray. It really helps keep away the frizz. I am currently obsessed with Paul Mitchell Hot Off the Press.

Hair oils: Hair oils can do a lot to make your hair more manageable, and less prone to frizz. My fave is Matrix Oil Wonders.  However, I've been using It's a Ten Miracle Oil with Keratin for weeks and I like it as well. Other good ones are Alterna Kendi Oil and Josie Maran Argan Oil. You can use them as a treatment, in with conditioner, as a styling aid, or on dry hair (I use it this way to help with frizz).

Anti-frizz spray: I recently discovered Living Proof Humidity Shield and it really helps! I use it every morning!

Hair masks: Also good for maintaining hair health - or at least the appearance of it! My favorites have been discontinued, so I don't have any recs for you.

Dry shampoo: I highly rec this, as it will allow you to wash/dry your hair less, which means less damage. I like Klorane and Alterna.

Best of luck!!!

Thank you for the recommendations! I tried a similar product of the ones that you mentioned and worked great!
