Naturally curly

How should I wash and dry my curly hair? I was told never wash scalp with shampoo but 2 times a week and only apply conditioner to the ends. I do the cold water on my ends and air dry but it still doesn't feel quite right.

I tried two products yesterday together that were nothing short of miraculous for me.  My hair has been fuzzy and not wavy or curly, like normal, for the better part of a year, no matter what I do.  I washed my hair with Briogeo's Be Kind, Be Gentle Avocado and Quinoa Co-Wash (Sephora doesn't sell this particular product,) and Kiehl's Since 1851 Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak 8.4 oz/ 250 mL right after washing.  

My hair is much less frizzy and actually has some waves!  I highly recommend these products for curly hair.  I applied the Hair Pak all over, as I knew all of my hair was very dry and damaged.
