Long/thick/oily hair

Looking for anything to help my hair. I wake up in the morning needing to wash it because it's super oily even though it will be fine the night before. I've tried tons of different shampoos. the sulfate free ones seemed to be helping a little bit but any other recommendations would be appreciated. thanks.

I would try dry shampoo. I have Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo for light tones and it works really well especially in a hurry.

Re: Long/thick/oily hair

My hair isn't prone to this except in the humid nasty MN summers. My stylist recommended dry shampooing and then putting my hair up in a bun on the top of my head. It helps a lot!

Re: Long/thick/oily hair

I suffer from the same problem!  I also use sulfate free shampoo but I always double cleanse to ensure I get my scalp really clean.  I use a very small amount of shampoo just in the scalp the first wash (it will hardly lather) and normal amount of shampoo for scalp and mid-lengths for the second wash.  Then conditioner only on the mid-lengths and ends.  For second day hair, I suggest using dry shampoo at the scalp and along you hairline right before you go to bed and not massaging it in.  Just let it hang out and absorb the oils overnight.  In the morning, just massage the roots if there is any dry shampoo left or brush it through for volume and clean(ish) second day hair.  Hope this helps!

Try to do hair scalp scrub, google it . Then try a good shampo that has naturalir ingredents.

Anything with peppermint should work well to cut the oil in your hair! Also feels amazing on the scalp 🙂

Re: Long/thick/oily hair

Have you tried deep conditioning treatments? I used to get bad oily hair too, and I started to use black castor oil (used like a mask) on my scalp the night before I shower, and it actually has helped a lot in how oily my hair was. Another tip is to make sure you aren't touching your hair often! That another big problem that I've had!
