Large barreled curling iron?

I am looking to purchase a quality curling iron with a larger barrel (1.75'+), can be from Sephora or elsewhere. I am currently using the Drybar one (1.25') but it is too small for the look I am going for and I have a lot of hair. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hot Tools makes a curling iron with a 2-inch barrel - there's a regular one and a ceramic tourmaline one that the brand puts out. The next size down is 1-1/2" which I've seen at Ulta or amazon.com; I have a couple of their curling irons but I don't think I've seen a 1-3/4" from the line.  There's a 30% off coupon code online at JC Penney for the 2" one right now but I think that expires in a few hours.  Amazon also carries the 2" iron.

The only 1-3/4" curling iron I've seen is from the brand T3, which I've seen at Sephora, Ulta and on amazon, but I've never used one with that barrel size as I have 1-1/2" and 2" curling irons.

@itsfi I was eyeing the T3 one but some of the review were not stellar so I'm not sure I want to take the dive.

That makes sense; they're pricey.  When I purchased the 2" one by Hot Tools, I debated over that one and the T3 one. Of the two irons I have, I reach for the 1-1/2" barrel more frequently. In hindsight, I'd pass on my 2" and just stick with the 1-1/2" iron and use it to curl larger sections of hair for fuller curls. I've heard many good things about curling wands and a want may be my next purchase.  I'd be interested to hear what you end up deciding to get and how you like it.

I personally have been using nothing but NuMe wands for some years now. The wands come in all different sizes and last a very long time. They warm up very quickly and my curls stay put for 2 days! You can get some through their main website or through Ulta online as Ulta just recently started carrying the line. Good luck!

@gonerogue Ohh I've heard of these and completely forgot about this brand. Were these the ones the youtubers were using a couple years ago? Maybe there are sweet discount codes floating around. Thanks for suggesting these, I'll look into them!

I think you are right! I slightly remember people having affiliate codes for the website. Regardless of the YouTube rave that could have been sponsored, I do honestly recommend you check them out as they have proved to be the best curling irons I have ever had. I know they have the brand on HauteLook every once in a while so if you’re looking to score some for cheaper, I would hold off until HauteLook has an event!
