So my hair is really wavy when it's wet but dries straight. My hair is about shoulder length, and I'd really like to make the waves stay. Any suggestions?

Hi, @KatiLmb !  I have fine, thin, wavy, curly shoulder-length hair.  Here's what works for me.

I use a scalp scrub or clarifying cleanser once a week to remove any buildup from my hair.  I rotate between:

- Kérastase Energizing Scrub: Purifying Scrub for Oily Scalp 8.5 oz/ 250 mL 

- Fenty The Clear Thinker (still can't tag)

I follow with one of these hair masks (my faves):

- Briogeo Superfoods™ Acai + Passionfruit Lightweight, Hydrating Hair Mask for Fine Hair 8 oz/240ml 

- Briogeo Superfoods™ Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Hair Mask 8.0 oz/ 240 mL 

Once a month I use a bond builder.  I don't have treated hair, but it still improves my waves/curls!

- Living Proof Triple Bond Complex Leave-in Hair Treatment 1.5 oz / 45 mL 

- Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Hair Salve 8 oz / 237 mL 

For styling my hair, about the only product that works for me is

- Not Your Mother's Activating Mousse (available at Target & Ulta)

When my hair is fresh-out-of-the-shower wet, I glaze about a baseball-size amount over the outside and underside, then rake through my hair with my fingers.  Then I gently pulse/scrunch my hair.

I use a towel to gently scrunch my hair to remove excess water and product.

I dry my hair with a diffuser and the dryer on medium or cool and low speed.  Place sections of your hair in the diffuser bowl then raise the bowl up so it is against your head, not facing the ceiling.  Hold for 20 to 40 seconds, then move to the next section.  Do this until your hair is dry or almost dry.  Scrunch out the crunch if there is any, but don't use oil or anything.

I use Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong Finish 10 oz/ 330 mL to finish.

Gena Marie on YT has good videos on products and dryer use.  She has a different type of hair so her recommendations aren't the best for wavy hair.  The product information and techniques are helpful, though.
