Is it ok to put Vaseline in your hair? I’ve seen it on social media a lot. If not what is something that can make your hair shiny and smooth? I have normal, fine blond hair

Re: Hair products

@SEPHORALOVERya , Vaseline will be incredibly difficult to shampoo out so keep that in mind. Fantastic oil for shine and frizz control that I have are:#JVN oil (Ulta or direct from JVN) #Moroccanoil Moroccanoil Treatment Hair

Verb Ghost Oil Duo

Re: Hair products

@SEPHORALOVERya , always be leary of social media..Vaseline is like a sealant, so I supposed there's no direct harm in doing so, but if you have fine hair, it might be better to use something else.  I use Vaseline on my skin, I don't remember if I ever used it on hair...I'd probably use a hair gel, honestly, I dunno about shine 🤔

There are hair glosses and oils that can do the same thing.  You also want to make sure your hair is properly cleaned and conditioned prior.  It's no different than getting makeup to look better, your skincare prep matters more than complexion/ color products 9/10.

I have not used all of  these, but these are examples, but I've the ones I have

K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini Molecular Repair Hair Oil 0.34 oz / 10 mL

Living Proof Perfect hair Day (PhD) High-Shine Gloss Hair Treatment

#BREAD BEAUTY SUPPLY Hair Oil Everyday Gloss / (not a love for me personally)

Kérastase Elixir Ultime Bi-Phase Oil Spray 3.4 oz/ 100 mL

Kérastase Elixir Ultime Refillable Hydrating Hair Oil for Shine

The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane for Skin and Hair Hydration 1 oz/ 30 mL (I used to use the hemi version of this, because it was lighter, great to prevent frizz)

Ceremonia Hair Oil Mist con Aloe Vera 2 oz / 60 mL (this I love)

I have curly, textured hair, so I do what's called the LOC method, which is leave in conditioner, oil and cream.  I use Sienna Naturals Lock & Seal Hair Oil Split End Treatment 3 oz as the "cream"
