Fried split and heavy

Help a girl out!

I’ve been using it’s a 10 and I’ve found some improvement but I have thick hair and lots of it. I literally finish the jar in four to five uses.

any recommendations for something else I can use as a hair mask? Something that softens repairs and shines the hairs

thanks

Re: Fried split and heavy

Look for a mask built around hydrolyzed keratin or hydrolyzed wheat protein for structural repair, combined with cetrimonium chloride as the conditioning base. These deposit well on damaged hair and provide lasting softness and slip.

@LuluLemons9

It’s a 10 is fairly thick from what I remember, it’s been about 10 years since I’ve used the mask. If you are going through the entire contents in 4 uses, it’s not really effective.
You would really like Redken All Soft Heavy Cream. There is an immediate difference and the consistency is thick, it takes only a small amount. Try pairing it with the matching shampoo, game changer.

Re: Fried split and heavy

These masks are some of my favorite hair masks @LuluLemons9

amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask 16 oz / 500 ml

Oribe Gold Lust Transformative Hair Mask 5 oz/ 150 mL

Are both very hydrating masks that make my hair look and feel so much more healthy.

K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask 0.5 oz/ 15 mL is a pre-conditioner mask that really strengthens my hair, you use it after shampooing and let it do it's thing for 4 minutes and you can condition as normal after. 👌

Re: Fried split and heavy

@CynthieLu I think you're the second person I read that sd you can use conditioner after K18.  I didn't know that!

I'm a little confused tho about one thing: do you apply k18, let it sit then apply conditioner, and then rinse?

Re: Fried split and heavy

K18 is a little confusing at first @greeneyedgirl107

It's a pre conditioner treatment, on the brands IG and websites etc.. they outline ways to use etc..

But yes, you can condition after. 😊

You apply a pump to towel dried hair and let it sit for 4 minutes, you don't have too rinse it out. They say you don't need conditioner after but you can if you wish. I need the conditioner after, I've tried without but I prefer it.

@CynthieLu great info!  Thanks so much!  Bookmarking this!

Re: Fried split and heavy

@LuluLemons9 redken all soft heavy cream!

Re: Fried split and heavy

@LuluLemons9    #Kiehl's Since 1851 Olive Fruit mask works well for me.  But I also use Drunk Elephant Silkamino ™ Mega-Moisturizing Shampoo 8.4 oz / 240 mL  with it, along with Verb Moringa + Jojoba Hair Treatment Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL and a curl cream by Ouidad.

Re: Fried split and heavy

@Ispend2much6 how does that verb oil compare to Verb's ghost oil?

Re: Fried split and heavy

@greeneyedgirl107   I don't use the ghost oil because of its scent.  I think it's pretty lightweight compared to the other oil, which is a combo of moringa and jojoba oils, and vitamin E, and that's it.  The ghost oil has a few forms of dimethicone, which is fine and good for smoothing.

But I depend upon the moringa and jojoba oil for the health of my hair.  I apply it at least a few times a week, starting when my hair is mostly dry on washing days.  It really makes a difference; I've had two hairdressers comment on the improvement of my hair when I'm using it faithfully.

Re: Fried split and heavy

@Ispend2much6 thanks for the info!  My interest is piqued.   I don't see the product listed on Sephora, tho.

Re: Fried split and heavy

@greeneyedgirl107  I guess that’s why I couldn’t tag the product!

It would be tempting to mix up mr own batch. Probably cheaper also.

Re: Fried split and heavy

@Ispend2much6 probably!

Re: Fried split and heavy
