Curling iron for long hair

I want a curling iron but I am very inexperienced. I have a hard time trying to curly my long thick hair and I want an iron thatโ€™s easy to use. I like the blowout look so maybe I need a thick barrel thatโ€™s also long to accommodate my length. But I also want it to be ceramic or tourmaline so that damage is minimal. Any recommendations?? I have no idea where to start. Is the Dyson air wrap worth the splurge?
