Brow and lash growth?

My brows are so sparse, I'd give anything for fuller, thicker brows. Same goes for my lashes, ever since I started wearing falsies my natural lashes have really suffered. Is there anything I can use on both that will make them grow? Or has anyone tried one of the serums they sell on here? Ive heard mixed reviews on castor oil.

RE: Brow and lash growth?

If you haven’t yet, try BROWFOOD! It has worked so well for me!! I used Latisse on my lashes in the last and have found that BF works the same, if not better! I honestly couldn’t believe how quickly it worked to fill in my brows AND in aiding them to become much thicker.. (my hairstylist actually noticed before I did... lol) As for lashes, I keep hearing wonderful things about Revitalash... There is also LASHFOOD (I imagine it has to work just as wonderfully) although I haven’t tried either yet... once I become tired of these lash extension applications, I’m sure I’ll try one of the two, or both! Good luck!! 🙂

I have had great results with Shiseido's Full Lash serum!...

I have had great results with Shiseido's Full Lash serum! I am on my 2nd tube, and I have 2 more waiting in my drawer because I never want to be without it!

RE: Brow and lash growth?

I put a mix of almond oil and vitamin E oil on my lashes and brows at night as part of my night time routine This is two and a half years apart

RE: Brow and lash growth?

I have the same problem with brows from years of overplucking/keeping them very thin. I have had excellent results using RevitaBrow daily and getting my brows professionally shaped once a month (i.e., no waxing/threading). I have been using it for about 4 months. There are some patches where growth has been harder (probably bc follicles are more damaged), but overall I have had significant growth and find that if I focus the serum on particular areas of my brow that I will see growth there. I am constantly getting compliments on my eyebrows now. I am very skeptical of growth serums generally, but I have recommended it to several friends, and given my results I am now considering buying RevitaLash because I have somewhat sparse lashes.

Re: Brow and lash growth?

Hi RTMakeup!

Over a year ago I noticed that my eyelashes were becoming sparse as well as my eyebrows.  I started using RapidLash and definitely saw an improvement, I used the same serum on my eyebrows and it also seemed to work.  It did take a good 6-8 weeks for me to notice any results.  After about a year though, it stopped working.  And I started using RevitaLash and this actually worked even better than RapidLash.  Again, it took 6-8 weeks for me to actually see any difference.  The picture below is after 2 months.  The upper left hand corner is after 2 months and the bottom right corner is when I started.  The other 2 pics (upper right and bottom left) are the progression in between.  I've also heard great things about Grande Lash mascara but I haven't tried it yet. I haven't tried the castor oil either but I've heard that it works for some people.  It's pretty cheap so it may be worth a try, although it seems that some people may have sensitivity to it, so you'd have to test it out to make sure you're not allergic to it.  I hope this is helpful!IMG_5047.PNG

Definitely get the kevyn aucoin lash curler and better than sex waterproof mascara. I too have stubborn short lashes and that combo did the trick. You can also try lash paradise in waterproof by L'Oréal

Re: Brow and lash growth?

Hi there,

I have naturally horrible lashes because I am of asian descent, they are short, coarse but thin, and do not hold a curl regardless of what I do.  I have spent countless dollars on different mascaras and fibers, finally going to false lashes.  My dermatologist had an ad for NutraLuxe Lash MD, a lash serum. I tried it and it works. It contains the active ingredient in Latisse, but the wording and claims on the packaging make it non-prescription.  It took a full 3 months, but I saw improvement and growth after just 2 months.  Sephora carries GrandeLash MD, it has the same active ingredient.  I know 3 people who use a prostaglandin based eyelash serum, none of them have had the iris-darkening effect it warns may happen.  I did notice it darkens the skin around your eye it touches..the upper and lower lashlines.  It is temporary and I cannot detect it under my normal makeup and concealer.  I have never used the mascara, but the serum is worth every penny and I wish I'd discovered it sooner.

Here's an article regarding prostaglandins, the active ingredient....
