Best heat protector?

I've been straightening my hair for years now and the closest thing I've gotten to a heat protector was Argan oils for damaged hair. I wanted to get into using heat protector but don't know which kind is really the best for my hair.

I just received a deluxe sample of the Dry Bar’s Prep Rally, which is a detangler and heat protector in one. I loved it so much that I ordered the full size! I blow dry my hair and use a flat iron, and it’s left my hair looking great.

Hot off the Press by Paul Mitchell is my favorite. My second favorite is one by Kendra, the platinum spray one.

The Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer is a awesome heat protector and it works really well on chemically damaged hair.

@melissabt I like to use heat protectors on dry hair before I flat iron.  Would you use this by spraying it on dry hair before you flat iron each section, or would that result in too heavy of an application with this product?

@greeneyedgirl107. This product does not work on dry hair:( it will just wet your hair again and be too heavy.

Hi there!! I love the DryBar Hot Toddy. Surprisingly the Schwarzkopf heat protect at wagon art is really good!!!

I use "It's a ten". My hairdresser turned me onto it and I've been using it now for 5 plus years. It does everything it say it does plus it protects against high heat!! Be careful because some of the heat protecting products don't actually withstand high heats. If the product won't tell you it's heat protecting limit I wouldn't buy it.

@Giiiavanna I use silicone serum as a styling product.  I love Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum.  For a spray-on protectant before flat ironing, I swear by Paul Mitchell Hot Off the Press.  It totally improved the look of my hair so much!  🙂
