Best hair oil

Currently using bumble and bumble invisible oil. I want to try something new. Anyoneโ€™s thoughts on the Moroccan oil, olaplex bonding oil or any other suggestions. I have medium thick hair thatโ€™s naturally wavy and frizzy

Re: Best hair oil

Not impressed with Olaplex bonding oil at all though I like the other products in that line. I still love Invisible Oil though.

RE: Best hair oil

Iโ€™ve used many different oils, Moroccan, oribe , Verb, ouai , b&b invisible and honestly can say that Iโ€™ve liked all of them when I usedthem . Recently took the plunge and purchased the olaplex oil since Iโ€™ve also using their line of masks,shampoo,conditioner... and I have to say itโ€™s my new favorite oil! Itโ€™s truly a dry oil- soaks in repairs and leaves hair looking shiny silky and strong but not oily . Iโ€™ve used it on damp hair as a heat protectant Iโ€™ve used it on ends to nourish and repair Iโ€™ve used it to tame frizz , Iโ€™ve used it to bring out curls ... I love it and it smells amazing too !

RE: Best hair oil

Moroccan oil (regular, not the light version) is nice but my go-to is Kรจrastase. The gold one ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

Re: Best hair oil

Ive recommended this oil so many times here and promise Im not a brand rep but honestly Ive never found anything as wonderful as l'huile de Leonor Greyl. Ive used dozens of different oils over the years but always come back to this. It is marketed as a pre-shampoo treatment but works great after drying too.

@megan1108

I like the Olaplex oil for the ends of my hair.

For an all over oil to control frizz and help with waves the Ouai hair oil is the best thing I've ever used. I apply it on my hair when its damp and then after it dries I apply a bit more in the ends.

Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Frizz Reduction & Heat Protectant Hair Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL OUAI Hair Oil 1.5 oz/ 45 mL

Re: Best hair oil

Hi @megan1108,

I have wavy hair which tends to get frizzy so I look for a hair oil that will smooth my hair. My favorite is the Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil. I apply it on damp hair after showering.

RE: Best hair oil

I love the morrocan oil one!

Re: Best hair oil

I started using my dermae glow oil on my hair, and it's great!

Re: Best hair oil

I've really enjoyed the Oribe Gold Lust Hair Nourishing Oil.

Re: Best hair oil

@megan1108  Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Frizz Reducing Hair Oil 3.4 oz/ 100 mL is my fave, but I own several others.  I really like Matrix Oil Wonders in the Egyptian Hibiscus - I used it for years before I discovered the BB.  It's bee discontinued for a while, but I just saw a bunch at my local TJ Maxx.

I also like It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Oil with Keratin.  It's a big light for me, so I prefer to use it in the fall/winter as during the humid months my hair benefits from more oil.

ALTERNA Haircare Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist 4.2 oz/ 125 mL is good for when I need a little oil - esp if frizz happens to appear.  I like to spray it in my palms, then distribute.  I also own  ALTERNA Haircare Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Pure Treatment Oil 1.7 oz/ 50 mL but haven't reach for it in a long time.  I find it a bit heavy/silcone-y.  However, I also think it's rather versatile.  I even used to put some in my conditioner.

Finally, JOSIE MARAN - 100 percent Pure Argan Oilis a fair choice if you are looking for a silicone-free hair oil.  I needed something heavier, though.

I've actually had a hard time finding a hair oil I haven't liked.  I didn't have success with LP Nourishing Oil - it didn't spread well, and has citronellol in it ๐Ÿ˜ž

Hope this helps!  Best of luck!

Re: Best hair oil

@megan1108  Olaplex Bonding Oil made a difference in my hair when I was trying to repair it from bleaching.  I use it once a week in combination with Olaplex No. 3 and No. 5.
