So I know there are various threads where we post what we are viewing/streaming but I thought it might be interesting for 2018 to have a CHALLENGE to post the queue of your choice for what you are currently seeing on your screen. 🙂
Rules:
1. Rules... There are no stinking rules! (just kidding!)
2. No really.. basically take a screen or type a list of the queue of your choice. Acceptable lists could come from such places as your: home DVR, YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Video, etc.
The more we share... the more you know! (oh wait... I'm not an NBC commercial!) But in all seriousness, my hope for this thread is by sharing these pics and/or lists we will learn about new shows, movies, series, etc. that some of us maybe never knew about before. The more we share, the more we learn. Sharing is caring!!!
So here is my share as of 01/16/2018 (taken from my home DVR via Verizon Fios):
Yes, I have a problem. And my problem is named BRAVO.
@veronika23 @Tamara76 @Anonymous @tsavorite @ZombieMetroAnt @Ispend2much6 @darkiceis @Mcakes @k617 @mermadelove
(please tag others to join in the fun!)
@Anonymous He really is a great actor; they all are on that show.
Oh my gosh, if you are a nerd @mermadelove, that only makes me love you more!!!
@willa25 😂😂😂I love NDT. He IS a bad asstrophysicist! Did you know Amazon has a whole line of t shirts with his quotes on them??? I want one so badly!!!
You already probably know @mermadelove that I teach social studies but most of my teacher friends are either social studies teachers like me or they are science teachers.
And oh yeah (this will probably endear you to me forever...), I think you may know this but I teach STEM camp every summer. And guess what one of the brand new STEM camps I have designed for this summer will be... you ready????.... BATTLE ROBOTS!!! How cool is that??? The kids are super psyched and so am I! See, if you are a nerd, then I am right behind you, girlfriend!!
@willa25 I did know you were a teacher, but I didn't know what kind. OMG BATTLE ROBOTS?!?!! That's awesome!!! Last semester my little took LEgo Engineering at her school. She's 5 and she LOVED it! So for Xmas she got an Inventions kit and another one to motorize Legos . She also got makeup. And dolls. We are all about raising a sassy little nerd!! I always joke that she will become a beauty chemist, but she wants to be a vet, like her uncle. I am SO grateful for teachers like you who really inspire the kids!!!

@mermadelove... Wow... Hugs!!! Thank you for such kind words!!!
Yeah, my camp is for middle schoolers. Actually super excited for it and a bunch of kids are already talking about it and it's only January. LOL!
Thank you again.. Oh, and by the way, super sassy kids like yours make my job even more wonderful. 🙂
@willa25 Awwww that’s awesome your kids love you!!! And yeah the little one does tend to be teacher’s pet. Lol
@mermadelove - I vote for '#2!
@Titian06 I was SO sad when it ended!
@willa25 I've been playing catch-up since being out of town last week. Today I finally got caught up with my fave, "Inside Edition." Watched two movies last week - streamed "Dunkirk" and DVD'd "The Mountain Between Us." I just added Tom Segura's 2018 special to my Netflix Instant Play. I'm also considering giving "Black Mirror" another shot - I've heard it's good but I thought the first episode was perverse.
@greeneyedgirl107, how did you like Dunkirk? I've study WWII but that looked really gritty to me.. what did you think of it?
@willa25 I can't guarantee this, but my husband, who is far more sensitized to violence than me, didn't think it was bad.
Good to know, @Ispend2much6. Thank you!
@willa25 I would give it 4/5 stars. My dad and I thought there could have been more action; I thought it could have used a little more character development. Still, I recommend it. I haven't watched a lot of war movies, so I couldn't say if it was too gritty/bloody or not; I personally didn't consider it to be particularly violent but I could be desensitized! What I liked best about it was the different aspects it covered from land to sea, and the intersecting plots. Plus, I didn't know anything about Dunkirk so I found it quite interesting. The acting was good IMO. I was also pleased that it was only 1 hr 47 minutes - I don't like 3 hour long movies.
I know this was all probably TMI, but it's fresh in my mind!
Not TMI at all, @greeneyedgirl107. Thank you for the description. I also was not aware that it was under two hours. I actually expected it to be the typical epic movie that lasted three hours plus so that is refreshing to hear.
Off topic but I got stuck in white elephant gift exchange last month so I made a popcorn movie gift basket that included a popcorn tin, one microwave popcorn, one thing of movie candy, and two (never expires) redbox codes. Because redbox codes are sold on their site in packs of five (Five are sold for $7.50), I still have three for myself. Based on your suggestion, I might rent it when it comes out. Thank you again for the detailed review!
@willa25 Anytime! 🙂
@willa25 Did you like Band of Brothers (book or mini-series)?
I'm going to sound like a horrible history teacher here, but I never saw nor read Band of Brothers, @yankeefaithful. (I know.. shame, shame) If you look at my DVR queue, besides the nightly news, it's all trash. (Except "Trixie and Katya," the verdict is still out on them) My husband makes fun of me all the time for this. When I come home I need to "veg" and I can't handle any more information in my head.
I will say that I have learned a tremendous amount about WWII, watched a ton of documentaries including my fav, "The World at War," and also read a bunch of historical fiction like Herman Wouk's, "The Winds of War," and "War and Remembrance." This doesn't make up for all the crap I watch but we can talk WWII anytime you want. 🙂
@willa25 So switching to the "veg" side, do you watch Andy Cohen's Watch What happens?
Oh my gosh, do i watch me my little meshugenah cutie, Andy Cohen! Of course I watch WWHL, @yankeefaithful! It actually records automatically every Sunday through Thursday. (I just had already watched and deleted last night's episode with Brittany and Ariana, hence, why you didn't see it in my DVR list.)
Love Andy Cohen @willa25! I only catch glimpses of the various Real Housewives franchises but I will sometimes watch the reunion episodes - Andy Cohen's facial expressions during those eps are priceless!!
