The Holiday Decorations Thread

The holidays are going to be strange this year. Many people, including myself, are unable to celebrate with family or simply the way they want to. On the news this morning they were discussing that many people are decorating early because they feel they need cheer. I put my tree up a couple days ago. I was thinking it would be nice to see other people's decorations and spread the cheer. I am NOT just talking about Christmas. I consider myself mostly Jewish but grew up celebrating many holidays and have a Christmas tree of my own. So no pressure in terms of holiday or religion. Whatever you want to share. I finished putting the details on my tree today.

@quspork  I love that you do multiple trees. 💚 They're all beautiful! And I love your village, especially the Griswolds section. (Christmas Vacation is one of my 2 favorite Christmas movies.)

@quspork   I have nothing to say, except I LOVE THIS!  It's all so beautiful!  Is the garland on the first tree white, and looks multi-colored because of the tree lights?  It's so vintage looking!  Again, LOVE!

Ha, yes, the first tree has white garland though it's hard to tell in the pic, @Ispend2much6. The pig tree has silver garland with red candy canes on it and then it's the super traditional plain silver on the "antique tree."

Omg! This cute little village just has my heart! ❤️ How long did it take you to set it up and decorate this village?

@Diana332 Not terribly long, I usually spend a weekend unpacking all of my Christmas stuff (we have a lot, LOL) and then spend maybe an hour or two the following day placing the village where I want it. The husband then goes back and probably spends another hour actually plugging everything in- my hero!!

@quspork I love your village pics.  It makes me remember my childhood; when I was growing up we started collecting village houses and I think we had almost 150 before we finally decided that we were running out of room for them!  My dad loved Christmas and he was an excellent carpenter so he made a ton of village "props" and stands and constructed very elaborate mountains and lakes and even a village waterfall and while my mom appreciated the whole setup it was really a love project for Dad and me to share.  Your little town is beautiful; it looks as though it is also a labor of love for your family.

My new custom wreath. First version was really not what I wanted but got changes made. Waiting to receive it tonight. It's beautiful!  @SportyGirly125 @eshoe

Thanks @faeriegirl I am totally in love with it. I've never decorated my own place for the holidays, just went to my parent's or sister's houses. It's felt very special this year.
