UPDATE: I emailed customer support before I created this post asking them how to unsubscribe from the deluge of emails I was receiving from the new Community launch. I just received my reply (7/14/17) and they have removed me from the mailing list for new items, exclusive promotions, and event invites. I made it clear I was talking about the old Beauty Talk, now Community and they removed me from the emails I do want. It is as if they did not even read my email. Surely quite a few other people reached out to CS? So frustrating.
With the rollout of the new Community I have received thousands of emails and they keep rolling in!!! And every time I delete a few hundred, there are a few hundred more! This glitch is blowing up my phone so much it is now malfunctioning, I can't even get to the log out on my email. This is wild. I 100% regret having my personal email tied to my account right now. I saw earlier that someone figured out how to get these to stop. Please share your wisdom with me, I beg of you.
Here is a photo of what was waiting for me several minutes after I deleted over 300 of these emails. I started deleting around 8:51 and this is what I had already by 8:58
lol I just checked my spam (because I'd tagged anything from BeautyTalk as spam a while back) and there were over 1000 messages... >.<
Tagging the email as spam (works well in Gmail) might be a good interim option until this glitch is resolved (sorry if someone said this already).
@candacebt I totally get that there is a transition period with BT, and and we need to be patient, and there are kinks that need to be worked out, BUT, this is not okay for us to be getting flooded with thousands of emails all day! This takes up memory and storage in our computers/phones and even after you delete the items, they are still taking up space in our devices unless you actually know how to enter the hidden files and delete the cache in our computers. I don't have the time of day to constantly be going out of my way to clear up space. Not to mention it is beyond irritating that the notification of new emails keeps popping up while I am working creating a disruption. Sephora needs to something about this. This is NOT okay to be doing this to their valuable and loyal customers.

lol I had the same thing happen to me with that JCP thread - I had to dig through settings and totally unsubscribe from it

Okay. So I have even managed to find out how to unsubscribe from emails all together. AND I STILL KEEP GETTING THEM.
Same here. I've done all of the above multiple times and I keep getting hit with hundreds of emails every few minutes. As soon as I delete one batch, another comes rolling in 😞

Yeah. I need serious help too. I'm getting hundreds of emails. All about the "Active Promo Codes #17". I'm not even subscribed to this thread. The emails are all about merging replies from various dates. Make it stop! It's one every second! Helpppppp
Click the bell icon (top right, just under "Stores & Services"), then click the greyed out gear icon on the bottom left of that menu. That will take you to this page:

Yes @scharrison @Saschattack, my settings are similar to what @RGbrown has posted here and this has definitely helped stop the asinine amount of emails. The only difference is that I have also unchecked the box that says "Ignore posts and reviews I've already read".
