Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

Most of my friends and family members are not into beauty so it narrows down my scope of knowledge quite a lot. Feel free to post requests for gift ideas for someone in particular, gifts that have been hits in previous years, or list items you think would be great for someone this year. This way people can keep an eye out for deals before all the sales start. Everyone has different budgets and different price points for gifts for different people so let's help each other out!

Here's some of my recommendations:

My dad is hard to shop for since he usually doesn't want anything and his interests are too niche to just buy him whatever so last year I got him an Ember Mug 2. It's usually around $130 for the 10 oz and $150 for the 14 oz but I've seen it cheaper at Costco. He loves it. It's probably one of the only gifts I've given him that has gotten consistent use the past few years. I would recommend for any coffee drinker. I have one too and I love it.

If you know someone who loves coffee and makes it at home often, the Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System with Thermal Carafe ($200) gets lots of use with me. I make pitchers of Iced Coffee and Cold Brew almost daily during the summer but it also makes multiple sizes of drinks and different intensities of both coffee and tea. I have a Baratza Encore grinder ($130) that I use with fresh beans but preground works just as well. I also have a Nespresso Vertuo ($175- $200) that also gets a lot of use.  Can you tell I like coffee?

Another kitchen recommendation would be the Ninja Foodi Grill (+/- $200 depending on the model). This is for people who aren't very comfortable in the kitchen, maybe a college student, who need something easy to program and easy to clean. I use mine tons for quick meals for the convenience of it, even though I'm a decent cook.

For almost anyone, Hoka Ora Recovery Slides ($55). They are so comfortable even if they aren't the prettiest to look at (imo). If you want house shoes that have support, these are the ones. You can wear them out, as well. My boyfriend is getting a pair for Christmas, for sure.

For someone you don't know well but need a nice gift, Necessaire The Body Essentials ($60) has 3 full-size products and you can choose the scent. I chose Sandalwood and it's a light scent, just a hint on the body wash. A safe bet for almost anyone, maybe a good pick for a Secret Santa that has a higher spending limit.

Sugarfina allows to make custom bento boxes ranging from 3 to 20 boxes, and allows you to pick which candies go in each. I think this would make a great gift for a coworker or maybe someone you don't know well but still want to give something nice to. Also, great gift to anyone with a sweet tooth 😉

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

Another great gift idea would be to purchase a gift card for a favorite restaurant.

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

for more expensive, small leather goods are always nice! I remember @SportyGirly125 @redeemed the cuyana/Sephora reward and I have a wallet from them that I love !

in the mid range, I’ve found those hydro flask bottles or even some brands make little lunch containers go over really well! That’s always useful !

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

@Kim888 You can honestly never have enough of either. Mine disappear with alarming frequency lol

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

For a true luxury item I personally would enjoy a beautiful cashmere sweater.

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

I enjoy receiving a gift basket with items from Hickory Farms. I especially like their original cheese ball. My son worked holiday season for Hickory Farms so at night he would bring home the leftovers from providing samples. I don’t know if anyone remembers but they used have free standing stores at most US malls.

@Loretta55 Can’t go wrong with cheese 😉 I’ve seen some of those online at Costco and they look delicious.

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

The original version is my favorite @makeitup305. There will be kiosks opening shortly at local malls for the holidays. I don’t know if they still offer samples but I know that I could make a meal of their samples. I also like their summer sausage.

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

candles and socks are my go to's, lol. and cozy blankets. 🙂

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

@treestar86 There was a 10x10 blanket on Costco that I almost picked up the other day. It seemed so cozy (and perfect for blanket hogs lol).

For a reader, a Kindle Unlimited subscription or fancy dust covers for their favorite book series.

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

Or an Audible subscription if they’re into audio books.

Re: Non-Beauty Holiday Gift Recommendations

@makeitup305 @Barefoot dream robes and blankets.

@SportyGirly125 I’ve heard great things about them, I always scope them out on the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.
