I want to give a V-Day shout-out to @CynthieLu who so kindly added me to her (apparently now deleted) thread! I wanted to reply, but "life stuff" got in the way. 😒

Anyhow, Happy Valentine's Day to all my fabulous fellow BIC members! I won't list you all because I'm sure I'd miss someone, and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But I appreciate this fantastic and supportive community. 💕💕💕

Thanks so much, @CynthieLu ! Things have sort of improved a little, because now I'm less exhausted as I'm trying out a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea. I was just plain out of steam for awhile (and I'm still trying to get unpacked.). But life is good overall, and I'm very grateful to have BIC friends like you!

(And I was going to insert a GIF, but apparently I can't use this goshdang modern technology. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go harness the horse so I can get home in time to cook dinner on my newfangled wood stove. 🤣 )

( Some gifs work and some don't @Westcoasty  for me if I save them to my phone's gallery and insert as image I have more success. But there's only some gifs the threads seem to support. 😅)

I'm happy to hear things are settling down for you, and that your getting more sleep, it's sooooo important. 💤

@CynthieLu  LOL, yes, I made use of the buggy whip as needed to convince Daisy to get me home in time. 🐎  It's not quite dinner time here yet, but I have comfort food all set to go. 🍕 🍰

@Westcoasty 🤣 I actually have a wood burner, it's flipping amazing, the heat is like no other. Hard work to haul and chop wood every year, but I wouldn't do without it!!

I actually dream of living off-grid some day, wood-burning stove and all. But I suspect I'd pay someone else to haul and chop my wood! I'd be down with your dog, relaxing in the warmth instead. 😂

@lmaster  Me neither! I didn't realize how much I hated living in big cities until I moved to a much smaller place. Never living in a big city again, nohow noway.

The only downfall I've noticed with me personally, is that I hate leaving my house.

I have to work up to leaving and get anxious being around people when I'm alone @Westcoasty

@lmaster  I'm very grateful that I finally have a remote work job. I have ADHD, and it's so much easier for me to be in a place where I can control my environment better. I do get a bit housebound sometimes, but honestly, I keep wishing I could find somewhere even quieter! A place where I could sit and not hear anyone. Hence my desire for off-grid life.

I know I should make more time for F2F interactions with other humans, but it's just such a relief not having to "mask" for eight-plus hours of every business day. I'm starting to want to buy the kinds of clothes I never get to wear - satin and velvet and such - and wear them around my suite just for the sheer pleasure of it. And that might end up including some elaborate makeup, too... just sayin'...!
