Barbie Fever!

So Barbie and Barbie-pink seem to be everywhere these days, what with the new movie.  And Mattel's uphill battle to shape its perception.  And of course the permutations that happened after Barbie, like Bratz, Rainbow High and L.O.L. dolls.  I thought many of us would enjoy chatting about our Barbie experience, or just dolls in general.

Finally got a chance to see the movie today. There’s plenty of talking points that could be dissected and discussed. As a film, it’s funny, witty, and very entertaining. I love Margot Robbie and she shines in this film. I wanted to see Simu Liu though. I’m very happy to see Asian-Canadian representation on the big screen. He does a great job of egging on Ryan Gosling’s Ken throughout the film.

@CorgiMommy It was! I also loved all the throwbacks they sprinkled throughout the film. Reminds me of the Barbie commercials my sister and I used to see on TV.

Is it wrong that I want this? LOL. Spotted it on Amazon (I WASN'T CRUISING FOR MAKEUP BOXES, NOPE NO SIR UNH UNH NO WAY) and my inner child, who loved dressing up her Barbies and asked for the Barbie makeup head several Christmases in a row, definitely craves this.

After discovering there were some Barbie edition polishes from OPI on Friday, I couldn’t help myself and tracked down these two. Can’t wait to give them I go in a few weeks for the movie.

@greeneyedgirl107 I little off topic but there use to be a Barbie House on Airbnb in Malibu California.  all pink with a pool, hot tub, and a cool slide into the pool.

As I recall, I had Skipper not a Barbie. She was her kid sister I think.💕🩷💖

( Not Barbie related but I had an awesome Jem doll with light up earrings 🤩 She was waaay cool!)

@CynthieLu I've seen cosplay where girls dress up as Jem.  I think I'd rather rock that look with the light up earrings than Barbie.   But Barbie looks would be number two!
